There are several major forces within what is known as Albion:
The Queen of the Forests:
Also known as the Undying Queen, the Queen of the Forests is the oldest known fae. The creatures of the forests respect her age, power, and wisdom enough to accept her as nominal leader, but given their chaotic and individual natures, the Queen serves more as a figurehead than as a ruler. The only forest creatures that really pay significant attention to her leadership are the elves, and even then she rarely gives them orders.
The Kingdoms of Albion: A loose alliance of the following Kingdoms:
The Kingdom of Wessex:
With a capital at the city of Winchester, Wessex is the most powerful and wealthy of the current kingdoms, in part due to its close relations with the forest creatures within its territory. Currently the kingdom is under the rule of King Alfred 'The Wise', an aging man with a reputation for being fair, just, courteous, and of course wise.
The Kingdom of Kernow:
With a Capital at Plympton, the kingdom of Kernow has spent the last several decades in slow decline. The death of king Uthar with no known heir has left the kingdom without proper leadership, and it now awaits the coming of a true king capable of drawing the enchanted sword Clarent from the stone in which it was sealed when the last king died.
The Kingdom of Kent:
With a capital at Canterbury, Kent is the most densly populated of the human kingdoms, being situated in the area where the Dark Lord's forces inflicted the worst devastation on the local fae numbers. With this lack of resistance to settlement, the humans have had no problem taming the wilderness that existed when they landed, and growing prosperous as a result.
To: All political entities with power in Albion (?)

We understand, or rather we don't, but we respect that your cultural realities at this time prevent a royal marriage. However, would a defensive alliance not be prudent in case either of us is attacked?
To the
Thirteen Citadels
The Kingdoms of Albion are currently incapable of projecting significant force across the Oceans to your continent, and we are of the understanding that your nation faces a similar constraint. As such, it would be impossible for either of our nations to honour such an agreement. We would be willing to give it further consideration if this hurdle is ever bypassed.

Whilst the Queen understands what you seek, she is sad to say that most of the creatures of the forest are incapable of leaving their homes long enough to engage in war. Those that are capable of moving freely are unfortunately too few to be of any use against the foes which you may find yourselves facing.
