Imperium Offtopicum 3: the quest for Imperium Offtopicum 2

Considering the USAF has about 5600, yes.

The world currently has 28,382 fighter aircrafts. So 30,000 planes is very unrealistic by current, peacetime standards.

However, during World War II the Great Powers fought with air forces which numbered in tens of thousands of planes. The Soviet Union alone produced 157,261 aircrafts between 1941 - 1945.

...whoops. reduced to 6,565 planes. (yes its a random number)

i could produce way more if i wanted to though.

Will you use a new UN thread and all that? as I really don't know the answer,
If its really that obvious and I am asking a stupid question sorry :p

l DON'T KNOW ASK WEST BERLIN

That's a lot, maybe you should cut down on one or two countries?

Can I have Brazil and Argentina, plus Paraguay and Uraguay for purely aesthetic purposes? I can drop it down to just Brazil and Argentina or less if I need to.

Country Name: Injastan

Capital: Bombay

Development rating: Second World (average)

Economic style:

Political setup: As of right now, Double A is supreme ruler. This will probably change when I actually put some work into this.

Social policy:

Foreign policy:

Army: Elephants!

Air force: Flying elephants!

Navy: Floating elephants!

...India is a third world country. secondly elephants make no sense.

That's the average of all the countries put together. Hence the average.

Also, note the "This will probably change when I actually put some work into this."

I'm guessing that I asked for historic Rome in the last thread before I went out of town doesn't count for anything? :p

I want Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Panama. That's not too much, is it.

I'll go back to my name from OT Posters Empire. The Droopy Empire. I'll get back later with more details on it.

This is anew game, so old claims on an old thread don't count, and your picks are fine by the way

Empire of Carthage

(Now, that looks like a lot. But a lot of it is desert. Most of the country is not very densely populated and much of West Africa is underdeveloped. Considering some posters have claimed all of China (and more), or India, or almost all of the United States, I think my claims are acceptable.)

Capital: Tunis

Language: Arabic, French and Spanish are the main official languages. Other important regional languages, such as Portuguese, Berber or Italian, as well as English, are also given special official recognition.

Development rating: Newly-Industrialized. Iberia, France and parts of the Maghreb are at First World levels, but the rest of the country are much less developed.

Economic style: Combination of socialist, cooperatist and liberal policies. Generally pragmatic.

Economy and Industry: Heavily industrialized and growing quickly, although still somewhat lagging behind some of the more advanced First World countries. Heavy investment on infrastructure, including a recently-completed high speed rail linking the major cities of North Africa. Major industries include manufacturing (particularly electronics, armaments, vehicles, aircrafts), banking and tourism. There is a construction boom in the African part of the country. Has large reserves of oil in Algeria and Libya, uranium in Niger, and there are plans to explore for more oil and minerals in the Atlantic and the Sahara. Research concentrates on energy, electronics, rocketry and aircraft technology.

Political setup: Constitutional democratic empire (officially, an "imperial republic"). An elective Emperor is Head of State, who shares power with a Parliament. Subdivisions (provinces, cities, towns) operate as direct democracies

Social policy: Very liberal social policies. Citizens are effectively allowed to do everything which does not violate the rights of others. Officially secular. Freedom of religion is guaranteed.

Foreign policy: Interventionist, but conservative in the use of military force. Tends to adopt a very hostile attitude towards belligerent and/or authoritarian states.

Army: Relatively small compared to the other powers, but very well trained, specializing in special operations. No conscription.

Air force: One of the largest and best in the world. Aircraft technology is one of the few areas in which Carthage is actually leading the world. There's also a highly-trained force of paratroopers.

Navy: Larger than most, but by no means the largest. A relatively balanced, moderately-powerful navy. Aircraft carriers and submarines play an especially important role.

Sweet Jesus that's alot for a first round pick:eek:

we will use the old UN and battle threads unless people start to get confused

POPE PERFS CALLS DIBS ON:
Virgin Islands
Vatican
Monaco
Edina
Las Vegas

Las Vegs and Edina, Minnesota are taken already, you can have Edina, Liberia and/or Edna, Nigeria:goodjob:

your picks are fine.

Venice is displeased its not on the map. Is a neutral city-state who can rip you off faster than you can say "Naval Power" not good enough?

speaking of which, here's the new map Worlddivisions.PNG

So... if you don't call the other half of Patagonia (probable error), do I get it?

What's that island that most people would normally include as Greenland barely off it's coast?

Also: Naval Power.
