I spent months building scenarios with fully customized text files and pcx files. Of course, the most important is the bix file. Though I backed it up, it was long ago. Of course, my PC crashed and my latest scenario bix files with it. Is there a way to take a Saved Game file and extract the bix??

You should post all questions in the main creation and customization forum, the subfora are for finished files only.
Don't worry though, a mod will move it

I don't know if there is such a tool, but there is a 'savegame editor' somwhere in the utility programs forum

I think there is a program like this, but I can't remember the name.. Perhaps in C3MT ? It does that, but it can't extract the start location.

C3MT can extract rules, the map, cities and units from a save. It does not extract starting locations for C3C for some reason.
