All alleles which can be found in Europe or in eastern Asia can also be found in Africa. There are a few alleles found in Africa but not in Europe or Asia, but this is a small portion of the overall human genome. In practice, the gene pools of Europe, Asia, and Africa are essentially identical. In fact, humans are one of the more genetically homogenous of Earth's species.
Race does exist, but it is a purely political concept, advocated by fascists as an excuse to crush the very idea of liberty in favor of a soulless existence enslaved to the corporate State. It holds no scientific merit whatsoever.

The empirical evidence in this thread has convinced me that the Indian and Swedish races have below average understanding of science. This is the TRUTH of the matter and no amount of evidence to the contrary will shake my belief. All those who suggest otherwise are simply refusing to face the facts. Races are real. And Swedes and Indians are obviously inferior. I am undecided as to whether I should include British-Indians, Indian Americans and Afro-Swedes in this... I need some advice.

The it would be best to change "race" into color" and just have the answers dark brown, brown, brown-but-not-too-brown-like-Obama-or-Beyonce, and white. Maybe another checkbox for slit-eyes. The census bureau can work out from the name if peole are pureblood Aztecs ot Indonesian.
I think that's just arguing over language. The american english race means something different than the usual translations of the word. In the scientific, biological sense there is only one race since Neanderthals died out.
It would be clever to write Homo sapiens sapiens. Then the bureau knows what type of human they're dealing with: an insufferable smart-ass.

I agree that the whole idea of race is silly but if you are going to set up racial categories it makes no less sense to lump all people with ancestry from South America into one race as it is to lump all people with ancestry from Europe into one race or all the people with ancestry from East Asia into one race. And if you think all whities look the same you are a rasist.

Gender is totally different thing altogether. It is something that is clearly marked out in our chromosomes. There are clear differences between the two genders, that are not there is the so called "races" Also Neanderthals are part of the human family.
Considering that the y cromossome don't change much over the time as it is passed throw decendent and that most peoples last name came from their father. I propose a way to tell one person's race or ethnicity by simple looking at one's last name and tealing where it came from. lol.

Racist groups tend to produce quite elaborate rationalizations why they are justified in thinking they are superior to others, merely because their skin has less melanin. Relative distance from the equator in which your ancestors lived is an absurd way to try to judge any human.

At the margins, it is just as difficult to distinguish between gender as it is race. However, in most cases it is not too difficult to make the distinction. If you were signing up for a porn video, I'm sure you would be just as easily excludable from a black-on-white interracial scene as you would be from a lesbian scene.

YUG gene pool is not the same! Slovenians are more German and Italian then Yugoslav, Serbs are 100% Yugoslav (Slavic), Bosniaks most likely are at least 20% Turkish (they did some reasearch and proved that) Croats are also 100% Slavic....

I'm sure there's a bit of Sarmatian and Illyrian mixed into the Serb and Croat gene-pools, and I don't know how well defined slavic is in terms of genetics anyway.

This may not be the best definition of race ever, but it certainly is the most definition of race ever.Also race=/= nationality. Not all mexicans are hispanic. There are asians, whites and blacks who live in Mexico. The majority are hispanic but not all. There are many areas in South/Central America with white populations.
Evolution is real. Humanity split into several groups well over 100 000 years ago. Asians and white have up to 4% neandrathal genes, meaning that a part of our genome is many hundred thousands of years from people in afrika. Evolution has changed over the course of many thousand generations.
