IS

the revelation that the US might deploy regular troops back to Iraq is related to the little thing that many people in Turkey are tearing themselves for the establishment of a buffer zone in Syria . The said people are even claiming the engagement rules that call for destruction of Syrian air elements to close to the borders are already a No-Fly Zone , and an acceptance of the fact is "so manly" . Weird indeed , considering the two kills on a Flogger and an helicopter , this No-Fly Zone carried in disguise , has done wonders for the glory of the plan . So that the Kuwaiti diplomats who beat up the son-in-law of the THK commander say he started the fight , despite both cars carried license plates reserved for diplomatic missions , and he deserved it , too . With calling them Kuwaitis as Syrians ... Kuwait actually threatens withdrawing investments you know ; the Military Attache and his troops are still not deported 6 days on . The Ambrassador says how on earth they could have known he was an F-16 pilot ; it wasn't written on the Lt. Colonel's forehead afterall . Means Turkish civilians are like rated to be kicked in the face , even in cars with nice green coloured diplomatic plates . See how it falls on deaf ears that it rather not be 7 .

economy is good , say everybody from New Turkey , apart from a Minister or two , who is now swearing that there will be investments in industry and stuff and not in construction projects to glory of the New Turkey , as much inspiring as the Pyramids for the Pharoahs . Actual Pyramids didn't put a granary in each continental city , right ? Not much of a surprise , now that even Erbil -slowly , slowly- threatens economic sanctions if the _ing Turkish Army doesn't come out and fight for the glory of 'stan . In his shiny sparkling new uniform some Peshmerga commander was on the Al Crusading , speaking of how they need everything from A to Z , you know , a list including even uniforms . Stupid Americans have even cut down on the available air support he says , instead of "immediate" response , they now wait 2 hours for the B-1B to arrive or something . Ain't it glorious , people laughed at me when ı wrote up that we are supposed to fund our enemies so that we the unworthy will be honoured by destruction of ourselves and stuff ...

returning to the thing of America "back in Iraq" thing , which has been speedily rejected by Barack Hussein 'cause it would hurt politically in the days ahead is to encourage the same cowardly attitude . Since a buffer zone in Syria gets a negative thing here and hence a chill down the spine elsewhere the commentators are like swearing the God that no Turkish boots on the ground and foreign troops will protect Turkey from afar with their lives . Got to hear this after ı had to change channels when an entire assembly in a TV debate joined the chorus that ISIL was not selling oil to Turkey , smuggling was long established even before ISIL . Rumours are Americans have the dope and they are sitting on it for eventual use ; it's real easy to shut down the internet in Turkey and not so real easy to stop stuff when the entire Western Media falls on the claims / lies that it's even Goverment Ministers who have a percentage . Or at least had , up to March 2014 . The TV-Debate-Hoax depends on the idea that there will be at least "nominal" opposition to make a discussion on the subject , it hurts when everybody talks the same and of course who are these people of afraid of ? Doesn't the New Turkey win "in the air, sea and on land" ? The phrase means it ain't no problem in overcoming trouble and oh yeah ı had to change , because ı don't like myself when ı find myself enumerating s_xual positions to apply ... And of course didn't help much to arrive at a new channel ; where the host was hysterical with the stuff that would happen to Turkey if this wasn't played with great vigour and care ; you can never tell how people hate this country by looking at their faces . The most hurtful performance was by a guy who still looks like he would be concerned with Ankara burned to ashes and Istanbul invaded after a 10 year siege , or even a 10 second siege ... He warned the entire range of Kurds on how they should not play with the Westerners and stick to this new brilliant Turkey that will protect the Kurds from trouble in return for some Oil . The Kurds must stay under Ankara's thumb , we Turks hear , or the Americans will eat them alive by making them a trusted ally , a bona-fide stupidly rich oil-state , destroyer of the Turkish Army and the ruler of a mighty empire . Or something .

they are all America's friends , those intellectuals of Turkey . Can't bring themselves to accept that they are to be rags , taken out with trash after use . They are trying to teach the Kurds who have already see themselves the masters of this land , a land devoid of Turkishness that might come and bite them under the full moon . There will be no American evacuations - Saigon 1975 was watched live on TV . Commentators are better of establishing how they have never ever been for this country so acceptable to their eventual masters ... Instead of lullabies for idiots .

I get it that Turkey does not like Assad for whatever reason and did not mind moderate rebels to travel to Syria from Turkey. They feel more worried now when IS rose its ugly head. But suppose there were no IS, and moderate rebels would win Civil War at some point: will that kind of Syriaa make Turkey happy? Moderate-to extreme Islamic Arabic state right next door?

ISIS is not a signer of the Geneva conventions, hence they have no applicability at all.
War crimes are for the losers of war.
I last came across the notion of a state stripping people of their citizenship when I read 'Eichmann in Jerusalem'. I really, really, seriously hope my government doesn't decide to copy one of the nazi's lead-ups to the final solution...

Are you comfortable with fellow citizens that have turned their back on their citizenship, by fighting for an illegitimate organisation, and they return and possibly kill you?

Well, maybe not inevitably.

And of course, one might say, Vietnam was a US defeat. In a way.

It's also not true for the post-Yugoslavia wars. It's primarily true for the post-WW II trials.

None of which is very relevant to current war crimes. War crimes committed against foreign citizens are generally prosecutable, irrespective of the fact if the instigating party signed any treaties.

I'm not particularly comfortable with recently-qualified drivers in Fiat Puntos, but I don't think they should be put in internment camps.

Back to IS:

London (CNN) -- British journalist John Cantlie hadn't been seen in nearly two years. Now, he's the latest hostage to be paraded out by ISIS -- forced to deliver the group's message.
In a video released Thursday, Cantlie -- wearing an orange shirt and seated alone at a desk with a black backdrop -- says he is sending what will be the first in a series of messages on behalf of the group that calls itself the Islamic State.
Since Cantlie is delivering ISIS propaganda and makes clear in the video he is speaking under duress, CNN is not showing the video on its platforms.

Not again! Just how many hostages they got? And do they use orange shirts on purpose?

Well there have been some terror raids in Australia as a direct result of IS. Only if you put your head in the sand like brennan does will the problem disappear.

Quite frankly they have made their choice of whom they want to live for and they don''t want anything to do with my country, then I say let them do what they want while we kill them while they betray the country of their birth.

Jesus, I didn't realize that IS was so effective at destroying the concepts of due process and innocent until proven guilty in Australia.
Then again, you do live on an island populated by convicts and kangaroos so I shouldn't be too surprised.

And they've been dealt with by the police, which is a lawful method of solving crime entirely in keeping with democratic principles. Remember that a lot of foreign people - many if not most of whom are Muslim - have gone to Syria as aid workers, and that many jihadists have gone to Syria posing as aid workers. So who should we be stripping of citizenship?

the Brussels Synagogue killer

God forgive me for making this joke, but this sounds like the ideal name and subject matter for a Jewish-themed horror movie!

And teenagers in Fiat Puntos kill people too. What's your point?

Good heavens, teenagers in Fiat Puntos are involved with IS! America should invade the FIAT factories in Italy! IS is everywhere and apparently them whops are supporting them too!

I'm trying to point out that what you're suggesting would either be ineffectual or totalitarian, and that governments should not make policies by reacting wildly to fears.

No, you made a moral equivalence argument between accidental deaths caused by inexperienced drivers with a person who was in a militant group and was very much experienced in methods of killing and knew how too make people suffer. It is a sick argument to be making.

I think the Australian debate needs a bit of perspective. Apparently there was a plot to kill a random member of the public. Given how horrendously broad the terrorism laws are, 'plot' in this sense could mean that someone owned a sword and mentioned the vague possibility on a phone once. The required standard is certainly below the regular 'conspiracy to murder', and it's definitely a 'pre-crime' offence. But giving the government the benefit of the doubt for a minute and assuming that this plot would have qualified for 'conspiracy to murder' in any case, it's worth considering whether breaching civil liberties to obtain the relevant intelligence, and then involving 600 police in pre-dawn raids of over a dozen properties, is a proportionate response to a couple of guys conspiring to murder someone. I mean, domestic violence experts would be absolutely thrilled if the government put those sorts of resources into stopping that kind of murder, but it's certainly not something that has happened or is likely to happen, even though domestic violence objectively poses a much greater threat to society.
