Here is my point. Kosovo was an area that since 1989 had been under pressure by its overseeing government, the one led by Milo. It is quite obvious to anyone who looks at the history, and especially some of the comments in this thread, that there is some real racial/ethnic divides in this Serbia region. History tells us as much.

You just don't go and do ethnic cleansing unless a whole lot of people are tacitly okay with it, Milo or no Milo. Just because he's gone doesn't mean that the attitudes or potential is gone, as it takes a whole group of people to commit ethnic cleansing, and gang press rape that was done.

I would imagine that a person's feelings about such aren't going to disappear overnight.

After that War, Kosovo was put under UN admin, which, being a world body, is not a puppet of the EU or US (remember, many people in the US do not like the UN).

So thats what I know. Serbs hate the Albanians and vice versa, and theyve been killing themselves for a very, very long time.

Of course there will be hostility to the murderers and supporters of the murderers, I just hope you didn't experience war in person and loosing your loved one! then you will understand, until then you will look at this as tales and stories... And if you think EU isn't USA's puppet your lying to your self! just look at the EU flag, and everything USA does EU supports ;)

You can't start the story from Milosevic's rule... the conflict in Kosovo between Albanians and Serbs start from WW1 when Albania got Kosovo, and Albanian population started to migrate to Kosovo thus increasing its population over there, after the war Serbs didn't want to commit genocide so they banned those newly coming Albanians back to Albania, and started colonization of Serbs in Kosovo to increase Serbs population over there. Then WW2 came and Albania again got Kosovo and again started killing Serbs and settling Kosovo, but after WW2 communists came to power and they didn't want to chase out the newly settled Albanians but accepted them as a minority group in Kosovo (witch Serbs protested and got arrested), and when Tito died 50 years after Serbs got a situation, newly coming Albanians where living there for 50 years and they can't drive them out now... but Milosevic (did a stupid thing) canceled the Kosovos Autonomy... witch Albanians saw an opportunity to start a war for independence! the rest I already explained.

WHAT ETHNIC CLEANSING!? where did you get such an idea? before Kosovo war there was 1,500,000 Albanians and now there are 2,000,000 ????
where do you see ethnic cleansing? before the war there where 5-600,000 Serbs and now barely 100-120,000 see the picture?

If Serbia then let go of Kosovo we wouldn't get bombarded... but Milosevic refused to give it up! so Serbia was bombarded not Milosevic ;) (we will never forget about those bloody days, and god wont either) September 11th is nothing comparing to what we went trough, and I hope USA will taste the whole thing ;)

USA doesn't like UN, cause the UN is the only thing thats keeping them from world domination ;) for instance, they will never take Kosovo away from Serbia until there is the UN :)

PS. why isn't Bush put in Hague? for genocides committed in Iraq and Afghanistan?

JerichoHill I've read your post twice and I don't seem to understand it. Could you summarize it in maybe five sentances?
 
My point:

There is no solution when you have the kind of hatred and animosity espoused on both sides. Partizan and his Albanian counterpart do each other no favors. They favor blanket characterizations of an entire ethnicity. And that will prevent any solution.

Not to mention wild accusations about how the UN prevent global US domination, does not engender me, nor others who might be considered bystanders, that one side is right. It's almost offensive. Especially when the OP demonstrates little understanding of the current wars America is in, combining Afganistan (which the world pretty much supported) with Iraq (which the world didn't) and accusing our President (who i dont like) of genocide or other crimes worthy of the Hague (which one is bush, a buffoon or a manacial genius, I never know which version is in vogue.

Partizan also believes the EU follows everything the US does. History would beg to differ, especially the last few years. I believe that the Euro posters here would also disagree with his assessment of the EU being US lapdogs or whatever.


And to Partizan, it is a widely established fact that during the serb war, ethnic cleansing was going on against the Albanians.

well do you think the US soldiers should be on trials for behaviors like this? or the man behind them, like George W. Bush ??? the Milosevic, our president (who I don't like) went on trial for the the things that happened in Bosnia and Croatia...
Why should it be different with the US of A? and I mean real iraqi abuse not the funny video I put up there, we see those abuses on TV everyday :( who's going to pay for that?
I don't think the EU is being US lapdogs or whatever... I think that, behind the scenes the Western European countries are being US lapdogs or whatever, the supporting of Kosovo shows who's US lapdogs or whatever...
How do you explain Islamic coalition not supporting Kosovo while Turkey urged them to do so!?? and Kanada starting to question its decision on recognizing Kosovo...
I just hope that Obama (I think he will win) will change the US policy on Kosovo!
 
This is why I've been opposed to an independet Kosovo from the very beginning and opposed to foreign intervention with regard to Serbia-Kosovo. These people are not innocent. They are not angels. And now the new state is just one ruled by thugs that without the support of "the west" would just be another poor, miserable, failed state.
 
EU is not a US lapdog, however, they find a common goal of screwing Serbia! Sorry my friend. Many Chinese (excluding me) share the same agitation, not to mention US accidentally hit Chinese embassy back in the war.

EU = US lapdog. Serbs = genocidal commies. Albanians = terrorists/mafia. All these are equally ******** and one-sided sentiments. Disappointing.

EU countries that didn't recognize Kosovo are:
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Lithuania, Cyprus.

you know that might work, but building the wall is just impractical.

But i disagree about serbia not having a country. They should and so should the Albanian Kosovars. But the Albanian Kosovars already have there own Country. It's called Albania.
 
So the Kosovar Albanians are horrible organ stealing perpetrators of genocide... but you are enraged they are no longer part of your nation. Sure, that makes sense.
