The only thing I like about Poland is their Metal scene.
Some glorious history and culture too, but the current Poles are hardly deserving of their ancestors.

I am really wondering what´s going on here recently. In every thread where there is the slightest possibility of bashing other nations, ethnicities, etc., it is being done ( ok, this thread title was already pointing to a certain direction ) . Is it just me, or is this behavoiur increasing? Poles against Germans, Russians and the other way around,Americans against the rest of the world and vice versa

It is divide and conquer.
The media controllers encourage us to dislike outsiders, so it makes us easier to manipulate.
Naturally, everyone denies this. Because they know so much when watching MTV.

Welcome to the EU where double standard is in fact the standard!
I hate those idiots who run Poland, with their medieval ideas, but for many Eastern European countries the EU only extended the secondary citizen status they had in the continent in the past few hundred years. No wonder they are pissed and disillusioned.
And the EU system sucks if wackos like Berlusconi or Haider or the K-twins can create such an upheaval.

Our government is stupid. But then again isn't everyone's?
Kicking poland out of the EU IS ABSURD. But i think a message to our government is needed. I mean some stuff like the more votes thing is STUPID! I can't even believe that our government would even say that.
1. I do agree, that maybe a few more votes might be needed for poland. BUT the key word there if few. By few i mean a fraction of what the government is requesting.
2. If were kicked out of the EU then Euro 2012 will be lead by 2 non EU members. And that's not a good idea. Tons of fans throughout europe will be regreating a descision to kick out Poland. The money to build new stadiums and improve football all togather in Poland is really needed, and Poland has a BRILLIANT oppertunity to get things going thanks to the eu. This entire football comment is just an example. So much things in poland are improving so damned fast it's kinda unbelievable. I was born in a communistic poland, and i would never believe that Things like this are improving so much, so fast in less then 25 years. I feel ashamed that our government is taking this great oppurtunity and wasting it. If they kick out poland from the EU then there goes everything for poland in my opinion.
Oh and that comment about the Catholic Theocracy in Poland is funny. It is kinda true, but i'm sure it'll change soon, and how soon would it be? well i think it'll be sooner if we stay in the EU.
I would honestly love to go more into this, but i do not have the time to do so.

And anyway, is there a mechanism to expel a country? Or once you're in, you get a lifetime membership (for business and coach classes)?

yes maybe for coaches etc. But still i don't see where the extra money for building new stadiums to replace our old 70 year old ones will come from.

Edit: btw, what is Kielbasa ( puts on plate armor ) ? One of our Polish Profs is always complaining that she can´t get any around here...
