LK15 - India, to the end

:D charliehoke - your offered is accepted :D
Wrap this baby -
Sell all factories, offshore platforms, mani plants in wealth cities.
Sell all Sam batteries, coastal forts, barracks everywhere.
We want to cut out expenses big time -
We want to STOP pollution.

DISBAND all ships except a couple of transports -
may want to move workers between continents.
If we see 100% of the map - disband all land units -
However do it only when you can find cities that can use the shields - may ship more over to the new continent.
This may rush, or partial rush all of our cities toward needed happy improvements - start with marketplaces - we have 8 luxuries - just don't disband to quickly, worth paying 1 gold to keep the 20+ shields for another turn.

Finally - irragate everywhere - starting around wealth cities -
Ever person increases our score.

Keep us posted how far you get (at least every couple of nights) - these turns will take awhile -
we need to wake every worker for max score.

Libraries, universities, research labs ???
Worth the costs for a few points in future tech?
DEFINITE SELL on the corrupt continent, and our south in the 1/1 ciities.
Anything else that doesn't generate happy people sell -
The cash can finish off the unit disband shields.

If you want - I will do a couple of turns before you start.

Those are all very good ideas Lee - unfortunately I wasn't planning on waking up all the workers and micromanaging them etc... That wasn't really what I had in mind, and it would take too long. I would've just sold all the factories and disbanded the units, and hit spacebar until the end. I really don't have time to irrigate all our squares and stuff like that.

My point was that since we are going to stop, we might as well finish the game, but I really don't have time to micromanage it to that degree. Let me know if you still want me to take it.

I am not sure that selling the factories would be the best way to go. True, they do cost a few gold to maintain, but they would generate more gold than their cost put towards luxuries, meaning more happy people. I can pick it up and give it a go

Well is pollution under control in those cities?

That could effect the equation.

Check the front page, told you guys that you'd get real lonely at the end if you didn't hold back. :nono: ;)

My suggestion: sell most of your factories (but not all, keep all your factories in cities that have meaningful production), but DON'T disband your units. Those are important to your score, too. Instead, have those factory cities do nothing but push out bombers, which you can use as shield caravans by disbanding them in outlying cities. If you have enough workers, gather them all up in one spot on each continent and place them on shift-p pollution patrol if that's what you're worried about. After you get mass transit and recycling centers in your cities, pollution doesn't hurt as much. Besides, you generate more pollution from having a high population than you do from factories, so you're not going to get out of pollution cleanup THAT easily.

You've got plenty of time to fill out your tech tree, I'd also suggest turning science down a notch or two or three, bump lux to 20%, and any excess cash use to rush happiness in addition to the bomber patrol.

Just a suggestion.
