Mass Slaughter of Thousands Of Taliban Prisoners Still Not Our Concern...

What do you think they were before they were captured?
Captured soldiers who were protected under the Geneva Conventions. Perhaps you have heard of them?

All I know is that it never seems to happen in the third world... it's always whitey's fault.
If by whitey you mean hypocritical bigots such as GWB and the rest of has gang of warmongerers who condoned obvious acts of war crimes such as these, you are absolutely right. Whitey caused 9/11.

It was no war, Amadeus. It was a terrorist act, Amadeus.

The excuse to commit war crimes and other atrocities in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere?

History is not going to be kind to the neocons. It is just unfortunate they will likely escape being prosecuted for their numerous crimes against humanity.

You can't even bring yourself to condemn the murder of 3,000 innocent Americans... your problem isn't with the dreaded Jews illuminati Trilateral Commission neocons, it's with America.

You can't even bring yourself to condemn the murder of 3,000 innocent Americans... .
That shows how little you actually know about me or my opinions. I had friends who died in 1 and 2 WTC. If circumstances were a bit different, I may have even been working there that fateful day.

your problem isn't with the dreaded Jews illuminati Trilateral Commission neocons, it's with America.
No, my problem isn't with America and it never has been. It's with the hypocritical traitors who commit despicable acts in my country's name. You know, the people you openly support and defend even when stories like this finally make the light of day.

You are the one who obviously has a problem with America because you are willing to openly defy US and international law in your fear and hatred of people who are different than you. Read the Constitution and Bill of Rights. If you aren't willing to live by those documents, I suggest you find a different country. There are still plenty of right-wing dictatorships I am sure would be more in line with your own personal opinions now that whites are no longer in control of any African countries.

Eventually it will either dawn on everybody that Obama is a liar (even for a politician), or it'll be too late when actions of the current administration affect them down the road.

Maybe you should check if you're asleep.

Hmm. I didn't realize they were deliberately targeting civilians. I thought that was all the Al Qaida or other terrorist groups. My bad.

What WHAT WHAT!?!?! Was this a serious statment?

I am pretty sure that being oblivious to the fact that the Taliban make it a policy to soak little girls in gasoline and burn them alive for trying to go to school is the very defnintion of bing willfully ignorant. Amazing.

Patroklos, it's not 'policy' to soak the girls in gasoline. They're quite happy to use acid instead. ;)

You do what has to be done... do you think they had the resources to house 2,000 POWs? And then even once the war "ended", what do you do with them then? If you let them go, they'll start fighting you again and civilians would be caught in the crossfire.

:(

You were arguing with someone who claimed that the Taleban hadn't committed Crimes Against Humanity, but then you had to go and justify war crimes.

C'mon, you should have retained the high ground

Formaldehyde: no wonder you're so incensed at the Afghan war, if you didn't know the Taleban were terrorising women trying to get an education. But Jesus, in all your griping about it, how come you didn't know that already? It's 2009 for goodness sake.

They weren't armed. They were POWs. And you are obviously no better than they are for advocating such obvious crimes against humanity.

And no, that's not blowback. 9/11 was blowback, and the acts you think are so great are ironically going to cause even more 9/11s.

I liked Ron Paul better in Bruno.

Formaldehyde: no wonder you're so incensed at the Afghan war, if you didn't know the Taleban were terrorising women trying to get an education.
I certainly knew they were opposed to women becoming educated, but I didn't know they were actually 'terrorizing' anybody, unless you call their standard punishment for not obeying their religions laws "terrorizing". I certainly don't. It is their own country and they have the right to run it as they see fit, regardless of how objectionable we may find it based on our own sense of ethics and customs.

What I didn't know about was that they were apparently now deliberately targeting and murdering civilians, in other words committing actual war crimes. And you are right. I certainly should have known. Once again, I thought those acts were being committed by the real terrorists instead of the remnants of the ex-government of a sovereign country.

But once again, it certainly doesn't make the war crimes committed by the US, NATO, and our puppet government excusable. I am sure you would agree that there is no excuse for actual war crimes in any form, regardless of how may the other side has committed as well. Take the Germans and Japanese in WWII, for example. Their acts were no excuse to deliberately target and murder millions of civilians.

As I said before, there is no moral high ground here. Both sides are guilty. It is only a matter of degree.

And to suggest that Amedeus was taking the moral high ground after this statement is preposterous:

Wow, I had no idea this had happened... good on them. :goodjob:

Too bad they aren't still that ruthless against the Taliban today... might have saved our boys a few lives and Afghanistan would be further on the road to stabilization.

Oh wow. So this means your ok with rape, honor killings, throwing acid on girls simply because they want to get an education, etc?

What I didn't know about was that they were apparently now deliberately targeting and murdering civilians, in other words committing actual war crimes, which they apparently started doing in 2006 or so.

Thats been going on for decades...not just 'apparently now'.

But once again, it certainly doesn't make the war crimes committed by the US, NATO, and our puppet government excusable.

Good old Form. Can always count on you cant we?

I am sure you would agree that there is no excuse for actual war crimes in any form.

I wouldnt agree to that. War crimes are for 'civilized' warfare. What happens when your absolute survival is on the line and things become decidely 'uncivilized'?

You're right, I don't know you... this is an online forum and the only things I do know about you, or anyone else here, is what you post.

No, my problem isn't with America and it never has been. It's with the hypocritical traitors who commit despicable acts in my country's name. You know, the people you openly support and defend even when stories like this finally make the light of day.
I think you possess a great naivety of the horrors of war, and I'll leave it at that. Now, what I would like to know is what may be an inconsistent approach you take to these affairs; if we are to remain non-interventionist (which I support entirely in principle), then why should we be trying to stop these acts from happening? Surely, I would imagine that you of all people on this forum would not support us acting as the world's policeman.

You are the one who obviously has a problem with America because you are willing to openly defy US and international law in your fear and hatred of people who are different than you. Read the Constitution and Bill of Rights. If you aren't willing to live by those documents, I suggest you find a different country.
I love my founding documents, but I don't see anything in them about us intervening in places where bad things happen and have zero strategic interest to us.

And which you apparently continue to deliberately misconstrue.

I think you possess a great naivety of the horrors of war, and I'll leave it at that.
And I think you have committed the reprehenisible act of supporting war crimes, and I'll leave it at that.

But I'm clearly not as naive as you ironically appear to be. You seem to think that everything the US does is "right" and everything anybody else does is "wrong". I'd say that is the epitome of being naive.

You do realize all these acts occurred because we are acting as the "world's policemen", right? That to suggest the opposite would be an example of extreme hypocrisy, right? Remember "blowback"?

And I think these war crimes should be investigated by international commisions, and not one the the participants for obvious reasons.

I love my founding documents, but I don't see anything in them about us intervening in places where bad things happen and have zero strategic interest to us.
I just love irony, don't you?

You seem to think that everything the US does is "right" and everything anybody else does it "wrong". I'd say that is the epitome of being naive.

And you seem to be the exact opposite of that. What does that make you? Just as naive, but from the other direction.

I just love irony, don't you?

Absolutely! :goodjob:

And I think these war crimes should be investigated by international commisions, and not one the the participants for obvious reasons.

I just love irony, don't you?
Yes, especially the irony of supporting extraterritorial jurisdiction when a few posts ago you said it was their country and they could do what they wanted.

There you go deliberately misrepresenting my views again...

Let me know when you want to discuss matters like an adult.
