Master Map Thread

The changes done since the map was made into a file changed parts of south Russia. Besides that there is no difference from when the file was uploaded to the SVN.
 
What I did was just add some flood plains near the river of the Caspian Sea using world builder. It allows for the Rostov port to have decent production for making a navy. The problem with Rostov is it doesn't have many resources, but the flood plains allows you to make a few workshops.

I'm playing as Russia right now. It seems I'm doing really, really good. It's almost 1600 and I almost already control all of Russia. Then again, I'm pretty decent at this game so it -could- be that. Beating of the Mongols perfectly certainly helped. I think Leoreth raised Russia's tech rate in an SVN a while ago so it may have gone too far. I don't think the changes in the Master Map gave Russia an advantage, only allowed for more concentrated production or commerce in some areas. For instance, Moscow now has an iron which allows it to actually be a decent capital.
 
Some notes I want to make from my recent game:

The fish near Seattle should be moved 1W, otherwise Vancouver is the optimum city placement and Seattle isn't even needed.
The two fish spawns between San Francisco of Tijuana (which is strange as both cities already have one) should be disabled.
The wheat near Carthage should disappear, as currently there are two wheat resources right next to eachother. The purpose of wheat near Carthage is for early game, while the wheat east of that is for Libya.
I need to post my changes of India eventually...
Quebec needs to be changed... Either Montreal overpowers Toronto or Toronto overpowers Montreal, while both conflict with Quebec City.
I feel the southern half of South America needs to be revisited as there are strange city placements and many important cities like Rio de Janeiro have little prospect for being a good city.
If someone could post a picture of the new SVN south Russia, it would be appreciated.
 
There's now an Oasis near Kashgar (tile 90,47)

I personally removed all oasis' as they promote bad city placement. Again a picture of the new South Russia would be nice. There were some other changes.

Alternately, you might just want to turn off their fresh water feature.

That was the only map change I detected from comparing the working copy via Tortoise SVN. Probably there's some others in many revision before that I didn't notice
 
Note: Citis' file for the changes no longer works.
 
Until someone who wants to turn it into a file uploads it, wait.
Otherwise, world builder it yourself. That's what I have to do. Sigh.

How would I go about changing the unit problems (i.e. America spawns w/ Albion Legion instead of the Minutemen)?

And that's the problem with Citis' file that I was talking about, it messes up unit spawns.
 
I managed to start an English 1700 Marathon with all the changes yesterday. If any of you want the file for it (which I don't imagine why you would), feel free to message me.

I would. Unfortunately, I know nothing about modding :(
