MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade (Game Thread)

No-lynch day one is bad, by the way, and you should all feel bad.

I get absolutely nothing out of yesterday's votes, and that's probably because none of it meant anything and everybody knew it.

I get absolutely nothing out of yesterday's votes, and that's probably because none of it meant anything and everybody knew it.

That's my problem too. We all know that Day 1 votes are notoriously bad early on, but usually things start shifting when people get near the lynch threshold. That didn't happen.

Town:
Renata- Hunter
15 posts. Missing D1, interacting, fair bit of scumhunting D2. Pressing Lohr, switching to Cuth.

Winston Hughes-Fisherman
12 posts. D1: Fisherman talk - good tone. D2: 1 posts.

Lean town:
Snerk-Alchemist
11 posts. D1: questions Cuth's purpose, vote Renata, where are rules, insight into Tak's mind, pie fluff, Winston is softclaiming scum
D2: Meta-analysis. Votes Cuth, defends Lohr.
I'm probably just tinfoiling about Snerk.

Lohrenswald-Painter
16 posts. D1:Vote Tak, lore questions, forgot to read the rules, fluff. D2: Mostly on the defense.
Not sure if this is a clueless townie Lohr or a cunning scum Lohr.

Null:
Arakhor- Historian
9 posts.Mostly no game content: rules questions, explanations, tally-related, lamenting about the lack of game content.

Lean scum:
Takhisis-Farmer
13 posts. D1: Farmers are simple folk, bad Winston vote, interacting with Al. D2: fluff

Cuthillius- Child
4 posts. Keeps voting Lohrenswald. Disengaged.

I think Cuth is the only one who would kill Yako, because he's not new to Cuth. Vote: Cuthillius

vote: Takhisis

Didn't like his D1; like his D2 even less.

Feels different to the French rev game, where his irreverence carried a hint of towniness. Here it just feels like he's grabbing the first excuse.

Vote: Takhisis

I probably won't be around at EOD, so I'd like to consolidate while I can. I'm willing to give Cuth a chance, though now I feel convinced he killed Yako.

If you're convinced that Cuthillius is the killer and you want to lynch somebody else you're openly voting to save a scummo, Al Sipsclar.

I'm voting with myself, regardless of your bleating.

And yes, voting is a way of playing.

I'm willing to give Cuth a chance, though now I feel convinced he killed Yako.

Why would you say that? If you're convinced that he killed someone and then don't vote for them...

Vote: Al Sipsclar.

Well, Cuthillius could pop up and claim that he's actually a vigilante, a la the Biblical David, but otherwise...

If Cuthilius killed Yako, he is either a (town?) vigilante or a scum. Al's not voting for him, after making a point about this statement, is very strange.

Why do you think there's a town vig? There was only a single kill.

I actually did vote for Cuth after proposing that he might be the one killing Yako. Then Winston showed up and voted Tak. I might feel convinced about Cuth, but I don't have any evidence (other than Yako suggesting that Cuth's little fingers took the sword). OTOH, there's plenty of evidence against Tak, and I actually trust Winston's judgement about Tak more than my flimsy conviction about Cuth.

However, you, sir, like Tak, are super opportunistic with your vote, so I have to downgrade my read on you from Null to scum.

Well, you see, if I've understood Arakhor correctly, an alternative to your not wanting to lynch a mafia partner is your wanting not to be seen as the leader of the lynch of a vigilante. Either way, saying that a person is the killer and wanting to take the lynch away from them is very bad™.

What is this ‘plenty of evidence’ against me? I will assume it is another April Fools' prank until you can conclusively prove otherwise.
