quick question if anyone knows is this mod compatible with YNAEMP mod?
Yes, it works for me. If you do encounter a conflict, you have to play around with/disable some of the YNAMP sub-mods (occasionally I have issues with what I'm told is load order, or something), off the top of my head, the faster road movement/faster ocean movement sub-mod occasionally causes crashes)


On a separate note, will you be adding some Australian units? it has been suggested by several posters that incorporating some part of the Aboriginal culture would be cool. No ideas for concepts, unfortunately, I am not real familiar with Aboriginal/Australian history

I have ideas for two new units for Australia, both involving the Australian Aborigines: a boomerang thrower (replacing the slinger, but has two range instead) and a scout replacement that can enter shallow water and ignore rivers from the get-go.

This would help balance Australia a little in the start, and because unmodded Australia doesn't have any Aborigine representation.
 
This mod is not playable with latest patch at the moment. Quess it conflicts with the tech tree.

All other installed mods worked fine, more lenses, build que, half time warning etc etc. So i`m hoping to continue with this mod when it gets an update :)

This mod has gotten so essential to me I'm having a hard time starting up a game without it :) Hope you get a chance to update it soon! Thanks for the great mod :)

The Aborigine would flavor-wise be great, as they are a truly ancient peoples. Maybe give them some sort of bonus in home territory that keeps the ability on upgrade, as slingers aren't relevant for very long. Or give them 2 range, or as strong as archers... you could get some quite decent promotions early on cleaning out the continent and barbs before they were "civilized" upgraded into maybe... catapults?
 
Hi all. Happy to see that the initial Mod Tools are out. I'm away in South Africa right now so I won't be able to look at anything mod related until next week.
 
Hi, Im an Australian and a big Civ fan. Im so glad they finally put an official Aussie civ in.

In regards to the Aboriginal representation. Even if you dont add in any new models (eg. boomerang thrower replacing slinger etc.) it would be great to see the skin tone for all the units prior to the renaissance era made to dark skin. This would be great in showing that before colonisation, The Aboriginals were the the dominant population.
 
Oh...and one more request....could you please add in the SAS Special Forces as a unique unit for Australia. Our SAS force is globally recognised as one of the most bad ass black ops outfits in the world.

Everyone always thinks of the world war "Diggers" unit, when it comes to Aussie units in games...there kind of meh compared to the SAS.
 
Just installed v0.73 but I'm not seeing the custom icons for each unique unit

I placed it in the Mods directory and enabled - am I missing something?

I'm running v1.0.2 Mac and this is the only Mod installed

The best thing about the "Summer" update in terms of mod news, is that they finally included the mod tools, meaning you can finally make custom models instead of having them look like copies of the existing sprites. It's gonna improve a lot of mods, like this one and the Modern Buildings mod. I just hope that the creator of Modern Buildings hasn't considered themselves "done" and "satisfied" with their work, that they'll get back to it and actually make their custom sprites.
 
SAS Special forces would be confusing if u add them to austrailia since the Brittish S.A.S Elite force is more famous and considered to be the most well trained covert unit in the world.

Yeah, Australia doesnt make these kinds of lists because Australia is always overlooked (hence why it has taken 6 installments of Civilisation before we finally got an official Australian Civ even though Australia as a country is also one of worlds continents and not exactly hard to miss on the world map :p)

This Special forces is highly secretive but took down the entire Taliban presence in Uruzgan province in Afghanistan. The US Special forces and Army have much respect for them.

None of the graphics for the units work for me, they all just appear as warriors. What am I doing wrong with my life?

Are you using the latest Australia patch? Wait for the Moar units mod to get updated. I dont see any warriors like you do but the mod crashes before i get into the game.
 
Just to complicate things more - I am running fine with the base Moar Units mod going. Have graphics, no crashes. However, I was getting crashes before getting into the game with the Even Moar Units mods active. Not sure which one was causing it though, as I disabled all of them and then everything worked just fine.
 
Yes but they didn't work before that either, last time I played was in 2016 before Poland DLC
