[mod] Warlords: Total Realism 2.3a

lol. I know I know. :) These are difficult times. But be certain you would get a BtS Version. In the meanwhile play a bit more Warlords version. :D

One thing, I don't know if you guys know, but it seem sin the November issue of PCGamer (American) is a review of our mod. Is anyone so kind and scan it for us? I tried to buy it here in London without a chance. We have a localized PCGamer here. :(

I have the magazine Houman, but I don't think you would want it from me. The review was pretty short, and positive. Cheers, and no hard feelings on my end.

I am One of those people...I am American guns before butter!!!:goodjob:

I have the Gold Edition of Civ 4 with Warlords and Civ4 in the same package. Does Total Realism support the Gold Edition?

It didnt work a few months ago, I was told the next version would work with Gold Edition. Arrgh, Firaxis!

I have only just downloaded this, and really enjoy it so far. My only concern is the apparently random wars, but I suppose that is not too unrealistic for ancient times!

In ancient times, the deciding factor for AI wars is opportunity. When things have settled a bit, other things start to be taken into account, the deciding factors being relations (though they matter more for some leaders, and less for others) and relative army strength (once again, there are more and less coward leaders).

We're not including new civs except for those added by the official expansions. We'll not even be including all of the BtS ones. The team's position is that the number of civs at present is quite enough for a rich and diverse gameplay.

Can someone please provide me a list of the end-game naval vessels that are used in this wonderful mod?

Also, does the AI use ships effectively? (I know that “effectively” is a relative term, but I’d appreciate your thoughts.) I am looking for a great naval mod for Warlords, and I hope this is it. :)

Thanks in advance!

Dave

End-game is starting when? If it is with arrival of steam power, then the upgrade lines look like this:

Steam Frigate - Light Cruiser - Battlecruiser - Missile Cruiser
Armored Cruiser - (Predreadnought*) - Dreadnought - Battleship
Monitor - Escort - Destroyer
Paddlewheeler - Steamer - Transport
Corvette (the lightest of them all)
Carrier - Nuclear Carrier
Coastal Sub - Submarine - Nuclear Sub

* - planned for the next version

Thank you very much for the reply, Walter. I downloaded the (HUGE!) mod last night and am looking forward to taking it for a spin. I am not a very good player, so I expect I'll probably lose. But hey, fun is fun!

Hope you like it. Don't hesitate to ask for help in the bits you don't understand or can't cope with. We're a friendly bunch. :) My only suggestion would be using our forum instead of this thread for such queries - not to cause excessive clutter here.

When will Total realism come out for BTS?
Any Ideas?

No idea yet. We are finishing the Warlords version thanks to the many posts we received on our own forum. Most (if not all) of the bugs are now corrected. We are tuning a bit the happiness system and are testing the new and upgraded civic system. It seems to work well. Walter and I are working on this at that time.

Houman is still work on the conversion. It's not as complicated as we thought at first. It's worst....as it's long and boring ! ;)

Mexico is working on some codes to make the game better and quicker.

To not lie, we are also all busy. Most of us are preparing exams....and this is more important than a BtS conversion.

Don't worry. It will be done. But be patient. Our priority are elsewhere at that time.

Hian the Frog.

We have an opensource and finding the link is the only one to get it, but since it gets changed very often and some changes may (should at this stage ;p) contain bugs making game unplayable its best not to give you any link.
