Personally I like the cammo painting a lot ~~
Ripptides units was choice at that time since there were not much vehicle units, and now we have better ones to replace them without doubt.

I'm a "silencious downloader" since 2005 and I never saw such an amount of wonderfull and nice units! I just created an account now because I wish to thank Wyrn for his amazing work. Your aircrafts, armored vehicle and most of ur units are in my mod. Also, I use often the desert camo version because somes green ones appear somewhat dark in my screen, I don't know why. Maybe i have to better set my video card, but in any case, I thank u very much for ur work, you're a real Artist!

Also mea maxima culpa about dark green... In fact, i tried a dark green unit (merkava3 ie) in real conditions in the game and in the same time, i recolored that unit in fair green for double testing and the dark green look far much greater than my recolored ones. So, it was just a question of setting. Thank again Wyrn for ur artist work! And, off course, thank to Ares for the very nice sounds!

БТР-90, «Росток» it's a nickname of this unit in Russia. I think this shoud be BTR-90 «Rostok» armored personnel carrier in English (there are many and many official or half-official nicknames for almost all soviet\russian army vehicles and planes. As basic T-90 is "Vladimir" or 2S3 (SO-152) is "Acacia"). Anyway, rostok means sprout in modern russian lang.
Offtopic: Yes, Rostock is German town, but it was originaly founded (and named) by polab slavs, not germans. Wiki knows =) Rostock and rostok sound same in russian.

Victory-RUS - there's a radio station with the voice that speaks "There's no reinforcement to send to help you. Over." A bit off, or it is some kind of a joke - you can kill them all by yourself so reinforcement not needed?

You're speaking about the BTR-80A, right? Yes, it's a subtile joke, like you've said (yeah, that's the ticket), and it has ab-so-lu-te-ly NOTHING to do that I wanted to use real Russian radio chatter and have no frikking idea what they are talking about *cough*. Fire? I think they say something like "ataka!"

I'm downloading some free war samples now, maybe I will find a corresponding file. If I will - I'll let you know.
I suppose the main 2 calls for a shooting in Russian are:
1) "ogOn'!" (Огонь!) - equivalent of "Fire!";
2) "Pli!" (Пли!) - equivalent of "Shoot!".
