I still think that we shouldn't move... Too much of a hassle, and all of our sacred data will be lost, what so many have worked so hard on!

...What?

No data will be lost. No... data... will... be... lost.

We've been over this ground before.

We are changing the location where the link displays. The forum will remain untouched.

So it begins... a New Era :mischief:

Are you illiterate? Or just ********? Moving does nothing at all to the data. Although, I wouldn't mind if we lost a few members such as yourself on the way. All I've seen from you is non-funny nonsensical ******** posts.

I agree that "this whole mess" of being on the verge of consensus to move to a better location IS my fault. ;)
Yeah, that result being through no work on your own part to demonstrate how shoddy most of the arguments for staying were, thanks. :p

If we were to go to Civ 4 S&T I would have absolutely no objections to moving.

Tell me where were going and then I'll vote :p

Oh! I get it now! That's a handy system!

@MJM: STFU!!!!! You are just encouraging my maddening outbursts!!!!!!

Thanks for starting this thread emu. We really needed something like this to get the conversation going somewhere.

Anyway, I have voted to move. I still feel the best moce would be to the Civ4 Stories and Tales forum, for the same reasons that I have layed out before.

Gotta decide to go on a road trip before you drive some place. :p

But someone may be more willing to go on said road trip if they were going to San Diego rather then somewhere like Bakersfield (No offense if you are from Bakersfield but it sucks.) :p

Please move all talking on where would we move to Symphony's earlier thread. As soon as this voting will be done (We will give it one more day) we will put to vote where we are moving. Give you reasons to each place there, and in the end everyone will read and vote as they please.

Oh and symph this is no mob ruling a democracy. This is everyones choice. And I am no mob.

I'd say the repetition of similar threads floating towards a general consensus (with the eventual nomination of 'delegates' to represent our position to the mods) feels like a caucus more than anything else. ;)

I fully support caucuses, as it happens.

:p

Actually, I support caucuses as well. Not for the American primary system in particular, but as a variant on the Democratic provess I think it works far better than a simple first past the post.

My main concern. Data may not be lost for current NESes, but what about old NESes? the legends? stJNES, the old boards games, RTOR2? If we lose them, we lose our history. If a move is to be done, it better be done right.

Again, nothing is lost. We will remain http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69. It's just where that link is displayed in the forum architecture. The database doesn't change, just how it's accessed. If things are wildly different from what I say here I will be genuinely surprised.

I'm sure the old threads will get packed up and moved along as well.
