Mueller's Report

Yes, I think it will. I don't like most of Trump's politics. But I get absolutely pissed at political games based on lies, and how much these influence the world at large. Those things are just wrong.
It would be very healthy to have some of those exposed and thoroughly dissected, it would encourage a much-necessary skepticism of propaganda.

Yet he was one of the most effective President in recent history ...
J

He passed a massive tax cut for the rich, which gave the economy a brief sugar rush but which turned out to be a nothingburger. The promised "it will pay for itself" never occurred, and the national debt is skyrocketing.

His promised healthcare plan, which was to give more people more coverage for less money is nowhere to be seen. Rather, Americans are losing the health insurance, and we taxpayers have to pay for their emergency room visits. The lifespans of Americans is shortening.

He has failed to build his wall and he has failed to get Mexico to pay for it.

His administration has failed to attract the "best people." Rather, it has attracted swamp creatures who seek to add to their personal wealth. Members of his administration are going to jail by the busloads.

His promise to fix the infrastructure goes unfulfilled.

He closed down the government voluntarily. The first time in history that has happened.

His executive orders are regularly overturn by courts on constitutional grounds.

Only one country in the world is not a member of the Paris Climate Accords--the US. Trump pulled out because he believed the accord's provisions allowing each country to set its own goals and providing no punishment for failing to meet their own goals is "Too harsh on America."

Our trade gap is continuing to widen.

His summits with North Korea have gone nowhere.

My sources agree these 10 questions are the most important to be answered in the forthcoming probes:

1.) When did the FBI first learn that Steele’s dossier was funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party and written by a partisan who, by his own admission, was desperate to defeat Trump? Documents and testimony I reviewed show senior DOJ official Bruce Ohr first told his colleagues about Steele’s bias and connections to Clinton in late summer 2016. Likewise, sources tell me a string of FBI emails — some before the bureau secured its first surveillance warrant — raised concerns about Steele’s motive, employer and credibility.

So the Russians publish emails exposing DNC corruption and poor Hillary's the victim. But the Clinton campaign feeds BS to the FBI to spy on their opponents before the election and Trump's the villain. Now I'm glad the GOP held the Senate, we need a divided Congress to find out what happened.

You seem to have the Democrat talking points down pat. Try checking the list of things Republicans want.
  • They applaud that there has been a North Korea summit, which his predecessors could not manage.
  • They like that Israel is treated like an ally and not an unwelcome relative.
  • They like the tax cut for the middle class and really like that Democrats are suing to lower taxes on many of their wealthiest donors.
  • They like the direction of the economy, the labor markets, and the rising wages.
  • They like that the Paris Accords were trash canned and GHG has been de-emphasized at EPA.
  • They like that he allowed the government to partially close for as long as it did.
  • They like that he is appointing conservative Judges in places like New Jersey, New York, and California.
  • They think he has attracted some of the best people.
  • They have a long list of promises he kept, including the above, reducing regulation, shortening regulatory overreach, and
  • They like that he won't take **** from anyone.
It's hilarious that you call the uncompleted wall a failure. That one is classic.

Thats what Hillary did! And then her campaign shared it with the FBI to get them to 'investigate'.

This is not the statement of a guilty criminal looking for an escape, it's the statement of a politician who knows he's being outmaneuvered by his opposition in the political game. And it actually evaluated correctly how the whole thing would play.

And that a person in that situation would ask around from his advisers how to counteract in this political game is only to be expected. It is part of the game. To expect an innocent man to not look into all means of defense is just medieval: you're a witch if you float and then must burn at the stake, and only innocent if you don't fight and drown?

Here's the quote again:

When Mr Sessions told the president about his appointment in the spring of 2017, an appointment made following Mr Trump’s firing of Mr Comey, he was said to have slumped into his chair and declared: “Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m ****ed.”

Tonight Lawrence O'Donnell quoted that part of what Trump said to accuse him of consciousness of guilt. Lawrence left out the rest:

He then turned to the one time Alabama senator who had joined his cabinet as chief law enforcement and legal officer, and blamed him. “How could you let this happen, Jeff,” he said. “You were supposed to protect me.”

He added: “Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins your presidency. It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.”

And now Lawrence has Ari Melber on to agree it was Trump's confession to crimes. Lawrence O'Donnell is in the habit of calling people liars and he took a quote out of context and misled his audience.

I like the fact Trey Gowdy quit politics to return to his more enjoyable role as prosecutor... one of the few Republicans who did not "retire '' for ''family reasons''.... in the 2018 mid terms
like the 26 republican RINO's such as Flake and the house speaker Paul Ryan
to quote Trump '' enjoy the calm before the storm''
...cause ''winter is coming''... and I believe that is the final chapter ...

Spoiler Lyrics: Modern Stable Genuis :

I am the very model of a modern stable genius,
Ignoring pesky facts which are an inconvenience.
A businessman superb despite all my many bankruptcies.
There’s profits pouring in from my many philanthropies.

I run a university which teaches tricks of real estate,
That laws are made for us to simply circumnavigate.
I say one thing, and then I do the opposite.
No matter all the problems that this causes us.

No matter all the problems that this causes us.
No matter all the problems that this causes us.
No matter all the problems this inconsistency causes us.

I barge in dressing rooms of virgin teenage beauty queens.
And it’s okay because I’m a man of wealth and of means.
Though some say my actions are quite egregious,
I am the very model of a modern stable genius.

Though some say my actions are quite egregious,
I am the very model of a modern stable genius.

I take the bows for the cuts that Obama made.
And cut off trusted allies from needed economic aid.
I made the Times apologize although it really did-uh-n’t.
And ended healthcare with flim-flam quite expedient.

I’m on the front of Time even though I wasn’t there,
And tweet out nonsense when I’m in my underwear.
I earned the money that I inherited.
Obama tapped my phone, my God I swear he did.

Obama tapped my phone, my God I swear he did.
Obama tapped my phone, my God I swear he did.
Obama tapped my phone, my God I swear he did and truly did.

I pardon racist sheriffs who ignore orders of the court.
And count on white supremacists for offers of their full support.
I blacken skies o’er power sources greenious.
I am the very model of a modern stable genius.

I blacken skies o’er power sources greenious.
I am the very model of a modern stable genius.

Cut taxes for our very richest billionaires
Will send our debt into the highest stratosphere
But Reagan taught us that debt doesn’t really matter now.
Wealth trickles down but please don’t deign to ask us how.

I eat Big Macs with fries and disregard the consequence.
For I am sure that science facts are nothing more than fake nonsense
I’ve re-written the physics laws of our astronomy
To prove the entire universe revolves around me-me-me.

To prove the entire universe revolves around me-me-me.
To prove the entire universe revolves around me-me-me.
To prove the entire universe revolves around the royal me-me-me.

We sold out Syria to Putin’s Russian evil hordes
And refuse to join the Paris climate change accords.
What I do, I do from petty mean-i-ous.

Worry not. With the Justice Dept. and courts behind him. I imagine Trump will put down his Big Mac long enough to have her charged. It's only been 2+ years.

Trump could openly call for the hacking of the DNC and his political opponents, with undeniable evidence in the form OF HIS OWN WORDS AND VIDEO and his stooges would still be crying "b-b-but hilary!"

Oh wait, they are, in this very thread.

Russia was simply concerned about state of democracy in the US. When it got data about DNC corruption, it acted like a whistleblower and responsible partner, and released this info immediately. Otherwise, corrupt US president might come to power, what could be worse?

But trump did come into power, so i guess it didn't work then eh

also lol as if anyone would ever give russia the benefit of the doubt, it's a massive kleptocracy that fails it's citizens, as more and more descend into poverty, Russia is a joke.

Saint Mueller repeating that "Russia hacked the DNC" without providing any evidence does not make it true.

The sole "evidence" of russians hacking the DNC for those emails is a claim by a company hired the DNC, Crowdstrike.

I think you are twisting what I said. Look back at my comment that you quote. I say that Russia interfered with the election through a misinformation campaign and released the hacked emails. I never say that Russia did the hacking itself.

I knew the report was damning when one of the panelists on PBS Newshour last night went in a rant about how the biggest collusion story in history was actually Clinton's dossier. I hope they never let that guy back on, he did nothing but gaslight and the other panel members had to reality check him basically every time he opened his mouth.

It's not particularly relevant to this thread, but my understanding is that we have evidence that Hillary cheated to the extent that she probably never should have been Trump's opponent in the first place. Not just Trump supporters, but Americans in general should hold her accountable. I dislike Bernie on several levels, but if he was popular enough to earn the nomination he should have been the one still standing after the primaries.

None of this has anything to do with the investigation on Trump. I do find it interesting, however, that Russian social media accounts are a problem while domestic ones aren't. Like that somehow matters. What *should* matter is the hacking/sending trojans/phishing to steal data, plus if there is solid evidence of deals made to do such activities.

Worrying about Russians making a fake twitter account to "influence the election" is a joke. If we're going to do that we might as well indict all mainstream media + social media in aggregate and toss it. Twitter/Facebook/Google have done more overt campaign influencing than Russia could hope to attain, and somehow it's not illegal for them, or for candidates to talk to them.

The "potential informant" to wikileaks getting killed is worrisome too. Hope they pin down everything involving the DNC stink, there seems to be rats on both sides surrounding that.
