Mueller's Report

Speaking of double standards . . . when is Trump going to do 11 hours before a hostile Congressional committee like Hillary did?

That would be impossible for Trump to do even if they weren't asking questions.

When did the investigation start and why? What was the initial observed action that raised suspicion?
I thought it was Papadopoulos boasting to that Australian diplomat.

You never answered my question on that, by the way. I haven't forgotten.

He lacks the stamina.

Still waiting for a reply J.
I'm sorry. I thought that was rhetorical. They were not petty and vindictive enough to do it.

Not to be overly glib, but there were other things to do and Comey did a very good job of poisoning the well.

This is priceless. He has done 18 months in front of a hostile prosecutor. Do you want one for Hillary?

pay-per-view $59.00

touche

edit: Barr didn't get Mueller's input about his summary. Now that'll be worth watching when the House Dems call him to testify.

He didn't even get deposed. But yeah - put Trump in front of a hostile Congressional committee for 11 hours and you can give Ken Starr another 18 months prosecuting a Clinton.

Provided you get the media fully behind Ken Starr and out for blood on Clinton, that's fair. So far she's had the kid glove treatment. She and her staff were not even indicted for destroying evidence much less the serious charges.

Wow, Trump had the FBI, the Justice Dept., the House, the Senate and the Supreme Court & he couldn't keep his campaign promise to "lock her up," How incompetent is that? :hammer2:

Given Barr's statement yesterday, let's not completely rule that out just yet. She may not get locked up for anything related to the emails, but if they connect her to any misdeeds related to the Russia investigation, then who knows?

On Clinton, they lacked mens rea. Keep in mind, with Trump's campaign they had mens rea, they just didn't have the actual action.

I've long thought of Mueller as a nothingburger. Politically, anyway. Let's hope that it created some type of deterrent effect for the next cycle.

Because if the next election cycle is going to become the natural end of the United States as a successful nation, I want it to be undone by the lies about millions of illegal voters being used to justify uprisings against democratic institutions

They have Manafort, Trump's campaign manager, sharing internal campaign data with Konstantin Kilimnik (which Manafort is in prison for lying about). We also have Russian actors successfully hacking state voting systems.

How did they know where to target their hacking? Are they just that good? Maybe. But maybe they had help. I don't know if Mueller found the answers to that question. Maybe he wasn't allowed to. Or maybe some other investigation is looking into it.

Like feeding the dirt you bought from foreigners to the FBI to trigger investigations of your political opponent before the election. Sounds worse than asking Russians to provide the media with emails showing DNC corruption.

As Commodore says, it ain't over yet. In the chess game between Potus and the DC swamp, Trump misplayed an opening gambit and had to weather a blistering attack. That attack is quashed, so counterattacking is now possible. All that said, he stuck it to Hillary on election night. Cutting deeper is not easy.

One thing Trump is not is a Washington swamp denizen.
True, swamps and wetlands play a valuable role in water management and host many important species.
Trump, however, has firmly set up shop in the ethical equivalent of the Valley of the Drums.

Wetland management can bring a lot of political enemies to a table. If you attend a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser you will get the whole spectrum for extreme-liberal to arch-conservative. Greens and hunters both want waterfowl habitats protected.

This has nothing to do with the Beltway swamp.

He would say, "Nobody knows politicians like me, who's bribed both sides."
