Of course you approve him. Because he is your ally. That's why I want the NPC GM to not play the game as a PC nation. Because, depending on alliance, some players will hide powergaming from the part of the GM NPC or some NPC's may help an ally of the PC Nation the NPC GM plays.

I do not say that he is a bad NPC GM. I say that a GM NPC, in general, should not play a game as a PC. Never.

I would like to point out that the proposed thing in the UN thread is not to remove him as sub-GM, but remove his player nation to client NPC or major-NPC status. He's a great sub-GM, and he has quite alot to do.

Removing the UoC would both remove the temptations to use his NPC controlling status for evil, and it would allow him to work more on NPC stuff.

I am henceforth requesting a clear, consistent criteria for embargoes be established so I can lay this issue to rest and can add it to the front page.

Increasingly, this bickering is making me apathetic and just wanting to end this game so I can move into a much simpler game that would be free from all the debate and fury that's plagued this one.

I'm going to also have to draw up a post detailing the exact division of responsibilities between GM and sub-GM, and where sub-GM control yields to PC control. This is going to be uglier than the Constitutional Convention.

You've told me before, you have more than enough cause. He's bullied you, he's bullied the players, he's steadily dragged down the atmosphere of this game with his OOC squabbles, and frankly, we would all be better off without him.

I can handle jerks. Jeho plays within the rules. Even christos only becomes a real problem when you deliberately enable him. I cannot tolerate such unabashed and infectious powergaming. I know you think it's a sign of defeat on your part, but when the cancer becomes as malignant as this, taking no action will guarantee this game dies.

Who's this game for? The people who want to play, or the people who are simply out to win?

I take issue with the potential implication of thors that I'm a jerk. I may of blackmailed him out of some in-game money but thats because my moral game-standard is to do whatever is best for my nation

Anyways to the point, I support the exclusion of any player who's conduct is detrimental to the good of the game itself. Its up to you Tani, in light of public opinion to determine whether P_F is such a player. I myself make no other comment on the matter.

I had a similar experience in Government and Politics 2. I was a fresh noob, playing a forum game that I had no idea how to play. Over the course of the game, I said some really stupid stuff and experienced players (jehoshua) called me out on it. I then saw a threat brewing, and went for the jugular (jehoshua's offspring, to be exact), and I slayed them all.

Did jehoshua whine about me metagaming? Did he cry about how I shouldn't be able to do that? How it's unfair?

No. He gathered up his allies and after a few turns, managed to find and kill me.

I have much respect for jehoshua, even though he may be annoying and rude sometimes. Just because a player is good does NOT mean they should be brought down to the level of other players.

I read the rules. I invaded Partitionania. I took a risk, and I'm reaping the diplomatic benefits and penalties from that decision. In my opinion, I think some people went too far in adding the penalties. Had I invaded christos, or maybe double A, or even kinich, I'm sure the international response would have been extremely different.

And I also did many diplomacy deals with other players, including the Diamond Coalition. I didn't get to my position because the rules are broken, just like jehoshua didn't become (self-proclaimed) Regent of Government and Politics because he was handed the position by the GM. I earned what I have now, and accusing me of powergaming or abusing the system is so absurd.

And finally, the reason I oppose sub-GM control of China is because of comments like yours. You obviously want me gone, and you blatantly oppose me (including the "poll" to get me booted) When you say
