China (Jasmine Flower) - 17
Georgia (Shen Khar Venakhi); Tsaiqvanes Tamar Kali) - 4 (3+1) Surely this theme, with undeniably amazing chorals from actual professional Georgian singers, should at least outlast the generic Phoenician theme which has almost no flavor (the Phoenicia theme lacks interesting instrumentation or chorals or anything flavorful).
Hungary (Hej Dunáról fúj a szél; Cinege, Cinege) - 10
Indonesia (Rejang Dewa; Bapang Selisir) - 26
Japan (Itsuki Lullaby) - 26
Mali (Mali Sadjo; Masana Seesay) - 28
Mongolia (Pastoral Song; Urtin Duu) - 28
Persia (Kereshme + Reng-e Shalakhu) - 27
Phoenicia (Hurrian Hymn to Nikkal, no. 6) -10 (13-3) This theme lacks character and is not memorable. Also, it is arguably the same sort of theme as Sumeria’s—based on a reconstructed ancient melody which has about a bazillion different renditions, all of them too reedy. I imagine its generic nature has allowed it to survive thus far, but Sweden and Georgia themes are way better than this flavorless tap-water of a theme. No interesting instrumentation, no interesting chorals, almost no indication this theme is in relation to Phoenicia—you figure that out only when you see the theme title.
Poland (Hej ide w las) - 19
Scythia (Traditional Melody) - 24
Spain (Recuerdos de la Alhambra) - 12
Sweden (Helan går; Polska efter Pelle Fors;Slängpolska efter Byss-Calle) - 3
Zulu (Uthe Ubhuti) - 23
