Reminds me of a certain user in the past Music Theme Eliminated Thread, who justified his downvoting of American music because somehow a current political figure affects the quality of the music (???). I don't approve of the current Turkish government and its policies, but there is no denying that the Ottoman theme is incredible.

It is catchy but perhaps a bit on the repetitive side. I am curious now about what other themes could've been used for the Kongo? Its among my favorite new additions to the civ series.

I'm particularly happy with how the kora manages to stay in the theme all the way through to the Atomic theme (as much I love the grand orchestras, I feel that some of the industrial and atomic themes like the Inca shouldn't be abandoning the traditional instruments entirely).

Touching on the issue that elimination threads have, where polarizing entries often struggle (as 3 detractors has the same impact as 9 proponents). It would be interesting to see an elimination thread where positive and negative votes were both worth 2 points, but where all entries lost 1-2 points every 24 hours. It would mean entries that were a little bit polarizing might last longer compared to ones which no one cared much about one way or another.

This one does feel a little more heated than other elimination threads. I suspect that since this is mostly a thread on personal taste, there's less objective arguments people can deploy and more likelihood of taking things personally?

The whole set would be perfect if not for the very unfortunate choice of sound effects for the first third of the atomic theme that ruin any impression of holiness, and it takes some time for it to be built again. Anyway, the beautiful vocals this theme is built on make it rather unique and memorable, and I mean it in a good way.
