New Buildings Discussion

I was thinking if the Megatower should be buildable as a completed building later in the Techtree. Like 5-10 Colums after Metamaterials, there could be a project that requires all Megatower parts and allows the construction if a Featured Megatower that includes all the other Megatower Features as Research Level, Mall Level.....

I haven't founded a building that "requires Freshwater" and I don't know the tag for it. Can you tell me?

Note that between X98 and X103 i s approximately where we currently are in history. We can either do those things or are on the brink of doing those things. Which included megatowers which some buildings could be considered megatowers already.
 
Uhm no, you missunderstood me...

I thought we keep the Megatowerbuildings at Metamaterlials.
Then, at Automated Urbanization, you can start a Project. This Project requires Megatower Mall, Megatower Offices, etc... all the Megatower Buildings.
Once built, it unlocks a Modern Megatower that includes Megatower Offices, Mall, etc. It's basically a fully "upgraded" Megatower, and therefore it reduces the total buildingtime for complete Megatowers in cities that don't have then.

Was it more clear this time? :confused:

Personal Music Devices as resources? Oh come on...
I think it is good that you don't approve all of Mr Azure's proposed Techs since I don't like a stuffed tech tree and those "barely adding anything to gameplay techs".

But I also don't like all those resources. What do they add to gameplay if you are totally honest? The time between "reveal" them and have them in EVERY city available is only like 1-2 turns at max. After that, you don't care about them anymore in the rest of the game.
Typewriters and Diskettes are another example. They obsolete so fast after their invention that I don't think they should be resoures at all.
Saying that all Philosophies can be summerized as one generic Phlosophy tech and on the other hand seperating Diskettes from Personal Memory Devices is just... weird.

(If anyone's amenable/interested) I have a list of 48 "what were they thinking?" resources, most of which (some I could be convinced about) I am sure the mod would be better off without.

But some of those techs are far worse. Unnecessary resources don't pollute/poison the mod the way some of those proposed techs would...

The reason I code things slowly is because I want to see feedback, test the waters.
Now when it comes to posting ideas I add a number at a time and wait to see the general reaction to them and then code them. An example is the insect military Standards and the expanded ancient Era. I am not going to add 30 to 40 at once, even if approved, but will let them "cook" for a week or two to see what people who don't think like me say. Group think is very bad and so is monopolistic decisions. I am going to use th Thunderbrd Tech Questionare to see if it has tangible merit. outside of elements or ores I generally do not like new resources.

I also sometimes love something I contributed but weeks later change my mind. Right now I think labs should double or triple in gold cost.
