I'm seing constant crashes after entering the Medieval Era. I run a heavily modded setup, but this mod is the only one that seems to have been updated since it started. Is this a common issue?

. Database.log is clean and I have no clue where else to look.

I'm also getting CTDs during the medieval era (two others have mentioned it in this thread). I have raised it on the GitHub.

Thx for making the report. It's a real show stopper for the games, but with a modded setup there wasn't much I could do report-wise.
 
Just won a Culture Victory as Washington, Turn 300 Immortal. Gandhi was the first to build the Manhattan Project, almost immediately after which he became hostile - we had been friends the entire game, same ideology, and recently signed a Defensive Pact. I was happy to see stereotypical Gandhi come out with nukes. I noticed the 'Gandhi's words are backed by nuclear weapons!' modifier, was this also in vanilla or from VP?

Anyways, he declares war, after which I rush to atomic bombs to have some fun as I am about to start Citizen Earth Protocol. I get a bomb in range just in time to nuke him with 1 turn left from victory, after which he....offers peace?

VP is clearly terrible and does nothing to improve the AI. /s

I had a very fun playthrough, VP was my favorite civ experience when I last played years ago and it's even better now. I will admit I was a tad disappointed not to get nuked back at the end there.
 
I've had tons of crashes since 4.15. But I also have a ton of modmods so I don't feel like my bug report would add much. Very stark contrast to 4.14.1 though, which was the most stable version I've ever played and what I am continuing to use for the time being.
 
Would it be possible to look at the ctd issue(-s) now that 4UC integration is being worked at or is that impossible?

I understand that 4UC is a priority right now but I haven't been able to make it further than early medieval era for the last 3 games and given the fact that the integration is going to take some time...

I have completed multiple games on the current version -heavily modded setup with a lot of custom civs as well- and my game has been stable till modern era (most of my games are usually over by the atomic era).
Besides some usual bugs like the promise to not declare war bug or the puppet city governer bug.

Well I'm not that lucky and by the sound of things in not the only one.

Edit: Sorry, that came out wrong. Could be perceived as rude which was not my intention. But the last three games, all with 4.16, have all been messed up by consistent crashes right about the medieval age. I use mods but none of those have been updated (save for minor edits), and logs are clean. Have even been through all the ai logs with no indication of the cause. And I can read from the forums and GitHub that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I have been playing the 4.15 version as France, and I noticed that my crossbowmen upgraded to melee unit musketeers and opposed to musketmen. Is it the same in version 4.16/ is this intended behavior, or is this a bug?
 
Just dropping some more respect into the bucket.

I remember waiting months in between releases back in the day, and just marvelling at the work Gazebo and a few select individuals were putting forth. It's amazing how this has evolved and sustained the momentum, to the point where 3/4 UC integration -- arguably the biggest update of VP's tenure -- looks to be right in the rear-view mirror. I don't get on here much these days, but rest assured that The 1 & Unly is still cheering the group on with that beautiful grin from afar. Supreme Leader has remained on the edge of his seat like a kid on "Day of the Sun" Eve.

Now, if I can only manage to get Best Korea onto the field once and for all...
 
I'm surprised that they have democracy!
Well, reading at Wikipedia, they only have a puppet democracy, with rigged election and everything.
East Germany was called "German Democratic Republic" during the Cold War, despite being autocratic.
And Russia's election are very likely rigged in modern time, it is simply a way to say "fudge off" to democratic countries.

I know it's being looked into but +1 to this. Happened for the last 5 games, thought it's just other modmods or map size straining the game limits.

Yeah, there's already been a couple of CTD-fixes so I'm hoping for a hotfix seen :cool:

EDIT: Ok, neck on the line here :satan: And not meaning to rush you into something :hammer: BUT is there any chance we're going to get a release anytime soon :hammer2:

I'll be doing a hotfix tomorrow evening with the CTD fixes and a few other bugfixes. Sorry for the delay!

It will be savegame compatible.
