As it is already New Year's Day in New Zealand, it will be New Year's Day in 2 hours in Singapore, New Year's Day in London in 10 hours and 20 hours for Hawaii, do any of you have any New Year Resolutions?

I resolve to keep track of all my finances and expenditure next year.

Lose weight, Eat Healthy, Get a new job, hang out with friends and family more, Maybe drink more which is contridictory for the first few!

Happy New Years!!

Don't expect much. Enjoy what comes your way.

Nothing. I know I won't be able to keep it, so why bother. I sometimes make resolutions on my birthday (3rd of January), but they rarely fare any better.

Pass comps, gain weight, pass comps, expand my professional network, pass comps, hammer out a decent working paper on NGDP targeting, and pass comps.

I've been pretty good at keeping these actually. I didn't meet my marathon goal from last year, but I did run over forty miles of races, so that was a good start.

I'd like to be debt free (with the exception of student loan debt) and trim a good 7% body fat by the end of the year. I think those are both attainable.

Keep disciplined financially so I can retire 3 years from today . I made this resolution 7 years ago on a 10 year time frame and I'm behind schedule
Doesn't sound very exciting. Any big plans for the retirement?

No big plans for me. Keep myself in shape. Think over my future, my employment, living and overall situation. And read at least three books.

.

Well I'm 38 so I sure can't afford to do it here . I've always wanted to be a school teacher . So gonna teach English in Indonesia where I've got a few business things on the go to keep me afloat and occupied . And surf every day .

I don't dislike my job as such , but every time I open a payslip from "The Man" it's a reminder that that is another week I'll never get back . I've totally accepted my mortality and now I just want an exciting life .

My resolution: Achieve 10,000 posts by the end of the year. :smug:

I have resolved not to make a new years resolution. However, I would like to improve my guitar playing, and get in better shape/build some muscle.

Eat less crappy food, drink less sugar water. Read more books and less blogs. Remember to shave sometimes.

I would have thought you had iron self-disicpline, like me.

My vow is to get even more excersize, spend less time online and to learn more. Other than that my life is more or less perfect so I don't need to change it.

Basically this minus shaving, although by the end of the year I expect to have a beard. (it's starting to come in)

I try to aim low for New Year's resolutions. My last one was to read the Wikipedia entry of every single country on Earth. I read none.

This year I'm going to try and learn French.

Isn't that even harder?

Oh, and get laid and get a job.
