NiNES: A Broken Galaxy

To USC
CC: everyone else
we would like to remind you that one two sepreate occasions the Nekomi have offered to join the USC, only to be rejected by you for no reason. would these be the actions of a government preaching hatred toward you? Indeed, up until the ascension of your new president, we held your government, a democratic one like our own, in high regard. recently, we are starting to become fearful for the safety of ourselves, and the Sizable Nekomi population living on Earth.

OOC: and yes, I did indeed Make these offers. the first when the USC was first created, and again 2 turns afterwards. both were rejected by Symphony.

OOC: I'm basing what I say on updates I read where it says Nekomi is teaching their population to hate us. Did you offer to join on thread or out of it? And how exactly would joining work? You didn't want to play?

I don't know rather much on USC diplomacy since not everything was on thread... I'm still waiting for Niklas PM's or emails too in order to know about my faction exactly.

from USC
to Nekomi:
Why would we let people who hate us so join us? To destroy us from the inside? To give the Nekomi more power to channel into their wars? Every cat has two faces. The calm one that is cute and cuddly and the cruel one the tears the house a part. Who knows when you will change again...

RE: Rana

-----

The CFS,

Understanding the importance of domestic planetary stability in all interstellar nations,

Recognizing the events regarding the riots and police action on the planet of Rana,

Desiring to foster better relations between nations, defuse negative diplomatic reactions, and to bring to light the truth of said events,

Hereby offers to the Nekomi the services of the CFS as a neutral, disinterested, third party to investigate the events surrounding Rana, the causes thereof, and recommendations for future actions. This offer is unilateral, and is made without reservation, except that the facts discovered be undonditionally published.

In addition, we also offer to Huris, Emergents, and the Furians, an option to join the CFS team in investigating these events. A joint international investigatory will promote international cooperation and legitimacy to the mission. While assistance is welcomed, please note that if the mission is accepted by the Nekomi, we will proceed with or without assistance and would thus ask for a timely response. Finally, the team shall be under the direction and control of the CFS team leaders, so as to maintain an clear and concise authority structure.

The Emergents of Providence support the proposal by the Colonial Federation of Sezuren to form an investigatory into the "events surrounding Rana".

The USC support the proposal as well. Perhaps a third party made of the CFS, Emergents and the Huris will find the truth behind The Rana Killings.

The Assisictance would be most welcome.

OOC: what? where in the update dose it say we hate the USC? I can see dislike, yes, but only because of your actions. and yes, I was trying to get out of the game in a limited way.

my actions? I saw it in the update after you invaded us. It said that after loosing the Nekomi did anything to make their people hate us.

OOC: nope. still cant see what your talking about. no where in any update dose it say anything like that. the closest is some anti-Shuurai sediment, but the USC is not Shuurai, so that dose not count.
Please, provide a direct quote, and a tell me exactly which update this was, if you want me or anyone else to believe you.

Peace was clearly not on their minds as they hated the Shuurai with a religious fervor, blaming them for everything from sour milk to oppression of people to the scourge itself. This demonic image they tried hard to convey to their percieved allies, hoping to rally the galaxy against the resurgence of megacorporations.

There it goes.
and unlike symph I take my country as past Shuurai with a democratic change.

OOC: and I don't, nor do the nekomi. I say again, in the eyes of the Nekomi, the USC is not Shuurai. that insert was directed Vs. Shuurai. we hold no enmity toward the USC, and indeed, hold the creation of the USC as our VICTORY in the Shuurai-nekomi war.

hold the creation of the USC as our VICTORY in the Shuurai-nekomi war.
Decloak: Rather deluded people, aren't you then? :p The USC was Shuurai's victory in minimizing overhead costs by outsourcing government. It's not like the populace revolted and demanded independent government; the board of directors did it on a whim. All your soldiers and pilots did was die driving home the already obvious point that running an entire society is needlessly expensive and detrimental to the good of the few. If anything, they won the war and the peace.

OOC: I'm rather shocked you still consider them people symphony :p

OOC: considering our only goal in that war was to insure that your people switched to a democratic form of government, Yes. we won. We achieved our goal, and were able to negotiate a stable peace after words. Your nation walked away with nothing other then a better form of government. and your sovereignty, of course.

The Furians will accept allowing a CFS team to investigate Rana, we want to avoid a full scale war that will possibly destroy the universe. The CFS team has our highest hopes of success in their mission. Good luck and Godspeed.

OOC: Has anyone considered that the war might have been a win-win situation to an extent?

They never asked for your aid, you moved into Huris' claimed territory and gave them aid. In this situation, there is a world of difference.

(OOC: TerrisH, erez, Symphony - will the three of you kindly make some attempt to let the matter die already? :p)
The Emergents of Providence support the proposal by the Colonial Federation of Sezuren to form an investigatory into the "events surrounding Rana".

Clarification as requested - yes, we wish to join the CFS team and participate in the investigatory, as opposed to merely being of positive opinion.

Yes they did. They gave us diplo again and again until symph finally answered when they started getting angry...

OOC: considering our only goal in that war was to insure that your people switched to a democratic form of government, Yes. we won. We achieved our goal,
Decloak: No, you achieved nothing. Your goal just happened to happen after the fact. It could have happened before. It could never have happened. It's called a random event. You had no determination on its outcome. If anybody did, it would be Erik, not you; whatever your people might think IC, it really doesn't matter OOC, because they're wrong.

You can profess whatever you want. That doesn't make it right. And in this case unlike Battleships, I would know better than any of the rest of you, because I'm the one who actually put the events into motion.

Oh, and since I hear some of you are confused: just because Shuurai made the USC, doesn't mean the USC is actually controlled by Shuurai. I stated this before. They are not mutually exclusive statements.

I second the sentiment. Chest thumping, especially on an internet gaming forum, is not going to make you feel better or help you prove yourself to anyone else.
