None Shall Pass [Game Thread - Concluded]

By that logic there would also be SW cult posing as LOTR town

So far it seems that cults have remained in the original towns, not sure its a good idea to chase down LotR cult in SW town.

Buddafish seems to be a good lynch, but SamSniped has been caught fibbing - with 4 known cultist running around he should have caught someone by now. I am open to better ideas.

Why is the message-poster so sure that LotR Cult cannot convert any more? There's only seven LotR members left and at least three cultists, one of whom is almost certainly SamSniped, so if our Antipodean town crier is incorrect, the cult will overrun us within just one or two nights. At that point, it won't matter if SW outnumber LotR, because LotR Town will already have lost.

Vote: SamSniped.

I had no involvement in that night message. Just look at the message. The writing is nothing like how I write. Furthermore, I explicitly stated that it wasn't my message, and I've consistently stated that I'd rather lose to SW town than either LotR or SW cult.

This just seals the deal for me. vote: Arakhor

You were a staunch defender of Takhisis up until I called you out on it. The very next day, you end up voting to lynch him. There are also the constant noises from SW players that you tried to contact them.

It all adds up to you trying to pull the strings for a LotR cult victory.

Constant noises? Really? I flat out said that I'd been communicating with the other town to try to catch LotR cultists. If that's the best your detetction methods can do, I pity you. I've already told you to get over yourself once and I didn't vote for Takhisis just because you think I'm cult. I'm not that transparent.

For the record though, as I've already stated, I haven't been defending Takhisis in the slightest. I asked what the case against him was (as it happens, there was no apparent one, but he was still cult) and I lobbied to lynch other people instead of him, because of who they were, you know, people like Darth Sidious.

I will vote: SamSniped

I like how you completely ignored the first half of my post.

All right then. I agree - I would also rather lose to SW Town than to LotR cult.

Dissection of writing style is not really my thing, but if you didn't write it, how many others didn't you write and why has no one from SW claimed to have the same ability? It seems to be a fairly pointless one, after all.

Someone has claimed to be able to borrow abilities. I can't remember who, but I remember it being said at some point.
This is the only one that I didn't write. We've already established that SW and LotR aren't mirrored, so it's an odd point you're making there.
I agree that it's not a particularly useful ability, hence why I didn't bother to use it last night.

I agree with you on this, azzaman. I realize by now that my power was useless, and now is 100% useless. The Ring either has no power by now or died with Sauron. I wouldn't be surprised if Vote: Arakhor was scum, though, as he was constantly telling me to scan people. I know, I'm probably the worst one to point out someone who might be scum right now, but something tells me that his sudden turn on takh (as you pointed out, azza) seemed to be an attempt to keep himself clean.

While I think of it, FoS: Buddhafish, since Gandalf came back to life and feels like Budhafish would be a good lynch. That has to mean something.

OMGUS, much? But really, my telling you to scan people makes me scum? Come off it, lad.

While we're at it though, you may recall one night not scanning anyone at all and another night not scanning the people I asked you to do, one of whom was none other than Takhisis. What a feeble excuse.

Which ability is it that you claimed to have?

That was directed at Sam, of course.

vote: samsniped. You clearly were lying about your ability to find the ring. You haven't provided a good reason as to why what you were doing didn't work.

Well, what with Gandalf's return and no one dying last night, going off role-claims, I believe it's still a dead heat between LotR and SW.

LotR: Arakhor, azzaman333, Darth Feather, JoanK (johnhughthom), KingMorgan, SamSniped, spaceman98, topsecret
SW: Buddhafish, dcmort93, Frozen In Ice, Gone 3 the Celt, Jarrema, sirtommygunn, SouthernKing, Stuck in Pi

There is always the possibility that someone has switched faction by being recruited to the other side's cult.

Vote: Sam sniped. To me it seems clear that you were lying about your ability. I doubt very much you are given a broken ability, and if that is the best explanation that you can come up with for why you were wrong about Takhisis, then you are definitely just trying to protect him.

Note: I may well be wrong about some of those faction assumptions, but those are correct to the best of my knowledge.

Vote Samsniped I don't think there's enough to warrant a Arakhor lynch but its getting close

What? So gathering information and then publically using it to help the town is a sign of scumminess? How? You are probably cult. That said, keep posting, as if you are town, it gives us something to go on post mortem.
