[NOT IN DEVELOPMENT] DOC Community Mod Compilation

Never mind, I edited unitinfos and something went wrong, so I deleted that file and attempted fresh pull, but git did not restore that file neither via pull nor via fetch. Perhaps I need to find out how to force synchronization between my local copy and your git copy :dunno:. It all solved after I chose revert and then selected missing file unitinfos...
So, how has the mod been handling for you? Are there any new feats you've seen Polynesia accomplish?

Never been able to see both Tahiti and New Zealand, like you rolled... SO what do you think about 3 Settlers start?

Have you been getting Tahiti at least? I haven't seen New Zealand since that roll, tbh.

Yes, they always settle Tahiti in BCs...

Easiest way: open the git console (e.g. via Github for Desktop) and then do the following:
Code:
git stash
git pull origin develop
git stash pop
It will temporarily stash away your local changes so you can do a clean pull from the upstream repo, and then restore them again.

Good. They build settlers, they just rarely make attempt to settle them, from what I've seen.

Main problem is that they don't explore much. 100 turns in the game and they just keep Wakas in the port...

If I remember correctly, wakas can only cross ocean when they're in the city's cultural zone, which makes a nice challenge for humans when you're trying to island hop your way to Easter Island. But it requires a lot of cities. For the AI, I would rather see them settle less cities, while still having those cities spread out throughout the Pacific (ie, Hawaii should be reached anyway).

What do you think of changing the AI waka's rules so that they can cross ocean tiles anytime (I thought about saying to allow this only after discovering a particular tech, but Polynesians were able to navigate oceans from very ancient times)? My concern would be that I wouldn't want to see them in the mainland of any continents though.

Do you think this would work well?

The 1700ad scenerio crashes again...

So far the issue with the AI has been exploration and settling, I have seen no issues from lack of culture in my tests, I feel like Polynesia is fine as it is, without getting the ability to meet Europeans in the BCs.

NEW UPDATE!

This mod has been renamed to the DOC Community Mod Compilation.

PLEASE RENAME THE FOLDER CONTAINING THIS MOD

Rename the "RFC Civs and Fixes" folder to "DOC Community Mod Compilation"

This mod is now also known as CIV RFC DOC CMC

Merged @citis 's wonderful Bits of Tales mod.

India doesn't seem to consistently conquer it's historical territory, I've seen it a few times, but I think it may need to be touched up.

The terrain graphics have changed due to their inclusion in Bits of Tales. I'm not sure what to do about this, so I'll keep it as is for now.

I've reduced the Taixe's GPP to 25%, removed the extra Trade Route, and returned the cost to 90, but it's still an upgrade to the vanilla DOC taixue, and from my tests doesn't impact them too much. In fact, I'd say that the merger of this mod is a nerf to China because the AI is much less likely to survive the initial barbarian hordes, meaning they won't snowball like they do in vanilla.

Excuse me sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior UNITAI_EXPLORE_SEA?

Talk about progress! We're consistently getting 4 more cities settled!

Don't mind the fact that I'm the Polynesians, everything was accomplished by the AI. I was rolling an Israel start and alt-z'd to the Polynesians when they started becoming unstable to find out why. Upon switching to them they were stable with +7 stability. :undecide:

Fixed a crash upon loading the 1700 AD scenario due to a missing EndPlot tag

Fixed a few errors pertaining to North American Native Spawns

Seems wonderful, but how to update to it? I try to update on Git but nothing changed.

The display always refers to the human civ from the latest check, you need to wait for or force another check to have it up to date.

AGH I HATE HOW GITHUB HAS - IN THE TEXT OF REMOVED LINES

PYTHON ERROR FIXED

What happened to the color and the flag of Kongo?

Edit: Never mind, everything got changed. How one can play this dark dark world? Absolutely no way to tell Barbarian and Indy cultures apart!

Yeah, the fact that you can't tell Indy 1, Indy 2, and Barbs apart is my one gripe. I'm going to make and push a quick change, is there anything else that irks you about the new graphics?

I just want the old RFC/DOC colors back. It took years to establish and test them, why introduce new color pallet at this point?
