NOTW XLIV: The Root of All Evil GAME THREAD

Ah, Bad Player, you even admit to pure scum. Now that we have an update, we might reconsider trying to find out your scummeisters.

As several Champions approached Bad Player with swords drawn, he stood tall and proud, not at all fearful of his fate, but he appeared remorseful. As the first sword struck him, he closed his eyes, expecting to die. Instead, the sword could not penetrate his skin. Strike after strike was made, but no wounds appeared. Bad Player had a look of confusion on his face, seemingly unaware of why he could not be killed.
Weird. From what he said to me in private, Bad Player does seem to know, but he refused to give anything more specific than that.

Says the pot to the kettle.

Are you calling me a kettle?

That is the most scummy, scummy, scummy, unbelievably scummy scum thing I've ever heard, that I think I might just go insane. Why would you, if you were innocent, not tell us this to begin with, instead of waiting until the end of the day and likely make us waste another day trying to lynch you?

I'd vote LordNwahs right now for protecting you, but why the hell should I trust anything you said? How do I even know you're protected at all? A guy who can protect someone from all lynches is BS and overpowered, as we painfully learned in Capo IV.

So no, ScumBob ScumPants, I will not unvote you, because there's not enough time left in the day to prevent your lynch regardless of whether that's true or not, and if it is true... well, then I guess we know who to lynch tomorrow.

End of Day Five
The Champion Bad Player was once again the center of attention. Despite claims of being helpful to the party, he was still highly suspected of being a foreigner. Because the siege on Kaluge was only hours away, the party couldn't risk making a mistake, but everyone was very willing to execute Bad Player.
The bloodthirsty Champions, angry that foreigners had already killed so much of the party, advanced rapidly on Bad Player once again. This time, their swords easily ripped through his flesh. There was no question about it. He was dead.
When the time came to evaluate his alignment, the Champions ran into trouble. "He doesn't have any documents, no pictures, no records of any kind with the Grigori government..." They would say in an agitated manner. "How was he even allowed on this expedition to begin with?"
At that moment, the Champions could afford to ponder of Bad Player's allegiance any longer. It was time to slay the Red Dragon.

Spoiler :
Bad Player's alignment could not be determined!

End of Night Five

And so, the legendary Siege of Kaluge began and ended that one night. The Champions marched quickly, fighting the orcish soldiers confidently. Within a few hours, they had reached the lair of Acheron the Red Dragon. All the Champions charged triumphantly, and all could see the fearsome Red Dragon guarding his hoard. Fighting through an inferno of fire, one Champion, letting out a yell of confidence. Within minutes, it was clear that the Red Dragon was dead.
The Champions strode back to base camp victoriously. Most of them fell asleep quickly. One Champion did not. Following the routine that had become very familiar to him, he gave a blood sacrifice to his god, then quietly traveled to the tent of choxorn. The Sheaim killed choxorn silently, then performed another sacrifice with the deceased Champion's blood. The Sheaim thoughts were of victory, of how half the party was already dead. He was certain that he would achieve total victory.
Spoiler :
choxorn was a loyal Grigori Champion!

It is now Day Six!
Day ends in 48 hours or so.
WoGs will most likely begin again next night, as I'm still unsatisfied with the average activity level.

LordNwahs6, why did Bad Player claim that you, self-lampshaded lurker of all people, could vouch for his innocence and have been protecting him?

I'll provide detailed instructions of what everyone can do during the attack on the city when the time comes.

what happened to this? the siege is over?

anyways, Takhisis, that's a pretty damn weak case. Bad Player just threw a name out of the blue. Just as he threw a false scan result, and then survived one lynch.

More case, you say? Genitive? Dative? Ergative? Prepositional? Vocative? You two make me feel like a headcase.

With the lack of anything better, I'm just prodding again at someone who's posted only once or twice in the entire game, remains un-WOG'd, and has even said he's a lurker. Yes, Bad Player might have been throwing a name out of the blue, but we can't leave a lead unpursued. Just in case.
Why not actually make a good accusation, Kennigit and your shack-inhabiting sidekick?

I decided to simply the mechanic for everyone's benefit. The siege was played out simply by RNG. The Champions were victorious. I'll edit in the update right now.

Takhisis I've already accused you many times this game, and you never answered any of them.

But I'll reiterate the one against you that I felt was most poignant: why did you say Seon's claim of a doctor was "ridiculous", and helped produce a bandwagon that got him lynched

that was a blow to the grigori, if he was a doctor.

I see two basic possibilities:
1) Badplayer was pro-town but incompetent. In this case, LordNwah is likely pro-town also and bp was telling the truth in a somewhat foolish manner
2) badplayer was mafia taking one for the team having tied up the lynch effectively for a couple of days - overall good for mafia. In which case, tying lordnwah in was simply a last minute incrimination of someone else (note no time for lordnwah to respond as choxorn - confirmed good guy - pointed out). In which case, LordNwah is likely pro-town

So either way, lordnwah bad choice for lynch. As I would expect takhisis to be able to work out himself, given his experience level. That, combined with random accusation flinging and the somewhat screwball attitude of which above is an example leads me to say...takhisis

The important word is 'if', Mr. Kennigit. 'If'. Of which we have no proof one way or the other. Maybe, just maybe, we all amde a mistake.

What we do have proof of is the inexistence of Mafia of any sort in this game.

Lordnwahs6 being voted is just one straw I was pulling at. Why does everyone insist on pouncing on me instead of trying anyone else? The larger bandwagon makes it easier for the scum to hide.

For the reason that Kennigit stated earlier about the whole Seon incident, Takhisis.
