NOTW XXXIX: Impending Retribution Game Thread

I think Frozen in Ice's count has a problem: Nictel has a 2 but 4 names listed. But I think it will be ok still as long as there aren't 3 secret votes in those 4 people.

End Midday Phase Five, Start Night Phase Five

Journal Entry Number Fifteen. 20:00 shipboard time.

The second half of the day brought out two new Brig targets for the night. With the help of others, Nictel managed to lose just about all of the votes against his name that had been there at midday. Seon became a candidate due to night activity concerns while Darth Caesar ended up ‘winning’ the vote due to his continued apathy and lack of reasoning. Before he was shuttled off to the Brig for the night, he said one thing:

“Nictel Ekolite Autolycus Seon Methos

With that out of the way, the crew continued on handing out the items voted on today. Methos walked away with yet another Crate, Seon took the Key to the Sick Bay, Ekolite the Assault Rifle, and with the help of a last minute push, Winston Hughes the Navigation Override Card.

The crew then headed of to bed for the night, wondering if this night would be their last. Also running through their heads was some thoughts wondering if their string of successful repairs from the night before would continue this night as well. Time would tell.

End Night Phase Five, Start Morning Phase Six

Journal Entry Number Sixteen. 06:00 shipboard time. Seven Days to Port.

With the ship one week away from port, the mood was fairly optimistic given the circumstances. The ship was still afloat and for the most part, running, and a good portion of the crew was still alive. That said, things were still getting damaged and people were still getting killed.

When people woke up in the Galley today, they couldn’t help but notice a blood trail starting in the center of the room and leading away. After following the trail, the crew came upon the body of Commander Winston Hughes. The man had been killed with two shots to the chest and another to the head. A search of his belongings revealed a Photograph and the Navigation Override Card. Both items would go up for vote again today. Outside of the two items there was nothing to suggest Winston’s guilt in anything, so it was concluded that

Spoiler :
Winston Hughes was innocent.

Upon heading outside to the Deck to bury the body at sea, the crew noticed the Deck in rougher shape than yesterday, though it was apparent some repair had been attempted last night. While it wasn’t leaking yet, any further damage would likely start flooding the compartments below again. Also another Crate was present and would be voted on again.

Outside of that new damage, the rest of the ship was in better shape. The Pump Room received some attention last night and was almost completely repaired. Intelligence also was close to being fully repaired, and the CIC’s damage was cut in half. The Sleeping Quarters was also made usable again with some repair. After a few nights sleeping in the Galley, they’d finally be able to sleep in an actual cot again. Lastly, Darth Caesar was let out from the Brig.

Well, repairs are going on all right… only one kill?

Docktor Szeon must go, he eez not healing injured crew members. Vy is zis, Doktor?

Looks to me like the bad guys are systematically eliminating higher ranking officers -- perhaps in hopes they'll be promoted into the vacant slots? Also, note there appeared to be just one murder and one act of sabotage, that might mean Darth Caesar's time in the brig points to some guilt, though I'd like to hear some other opinions first.

Because choxorn is very likely a saboteur and myself and probably others were insistent that choxorn not be healed. Can't actually fault Seon for that, hopefully Seon wasn't getting into other trouble but everything looks to check out there.

Choxorn is still still injured for another night though so I'd be happy to go with other leads if people bring new cases forward. However choxorn trying to go to the Engine Room was suspicious, his alibi is quite poor, and once again we have a lack of sabotage while he's injured.

I'd hope someone knows which bit of repairs Nictel was accountable for, right? And I await information on what might account for the lack of rogue kills as well as some other things.

Crate to Methos is fine. Not sure on the Navigation Override, can't go to the wrong person but don't want to mistakenly make the wrong someone another target for a rogue kill as they are almost certainly after it.

Does that suggest that Darth Ceasar had some part in the kills ?

I think Darth Caesar has some explaining to do.

Poor Winston. And he was going to loan me his favorite red heels, too. You won't be forgotten!

Maybe Seon isn't to blame after all, but why didn't he heal me either?
choxorn being injured and reduced damage while at the same time frantically explaining his injuries is scumtastic alright, but, Earthling, the Deck was damaged nonetheless.

Well someone must have it nonetheless :(, why not vote it to Methos in the meantime?

Can I take a look at this photograph?

I think our captain must have a truckload of stuff on his hands, why not let Renata have the crate ?

I think it best if I, robbiecon take both the Photograph, which I have seen, and will show to anyone who asks, on condition they tell me what they see. I also believe I know what the Navigation Override Key does, and it is best in safe hands.

Earthling, the crate can be yours today.

I hear there's damning evidence against Darth Ceasar.

I wouldn't mind seeing a crate going to someone other than Methos. Earthing can have it.
