Post the nerdiest/geekiest/dorkiest things you have ever done!

Owning any kind of anime is considered geeky. No matter how popular it is still in the geek zone.

I got into the computer industry when my brother took me to the local community college and showed me this new computer (terminal) they got, and you could play this cool game called "Star Trek" where you fly around the galaxy and try to shoot the Klingons. Keep in mind this was a non-graphical, character-based terminal, with controls like:
1 - warp drive (move to next screen)
2 - impulse engines (move within current screen)
3 - fire photon torpedo
4 - fire phasers
etc.

We were so impressed that we learned how to program in BASIC so we could understand and modify the code and make the game better. Thirty years later, we are both still programmers, though I hardly do anything in BASIC any more. ;)

I have you all beat.

I am currently trying to choose from the five roleplaying games I have to play. I carry 5+ RPG books in my backpack wherever I go.

I cosplayed as a Dremora Lord in cardboard to win a copy of Oblivion (I lost).

I have a wishlist of around 70 boardgames.

I can pinpoint the season when a Next Generation episode took place.

In tenth grade, two friends and I formed an impromptu Rap group for a talent contest... and won.

I was the keyboardist and programmed the keyboard riffs and beat for the rap myself. We practiced for five hours beforehand. My technical skills learned as a young geek pay off in almost any setting or situation and make me a lot of money as an engineer.

Almost every conversation I have had with my father has devolved into pure geekery. I get it from him.

I am kind of into D&D, and I don't even play it.

I disdain those who restrict themselves to Lord of the Rings or, heaven help us all, The Hobbit. Real Tolkien purists know it is the First Age that matters.

I don't consider myself a geek, but I have done several geeky things. I read and enjoyed both the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings before they were popular.
Well that makes two of us, I read it (the Hobbit) in 4th grade, back in 1996-97. And enjoyed every minute of it (strange for me back then).

I am also an active member of these forums.
Me too.

Perhaps. But then the immanence of the First and Second Ages in the twilight of the Third also produces its own kind of melancholy beauty, which has always had a special place in my heart.

I went to study Electrical Engineering.

I just recently proffessed that I am smitten with several ladies from computer games. :p Yeah, that's very bad when you can't say that anyone attracts you more than a comic character :D

I used to be a member of the MMOG known as Runescape. There's a diffrence between being a member and a player though. Members have to pay $5 a month to get exclusive benifits. Yup, that's the nerdyist thing I've ever done.

Organising a CFC Civ3 LAN-party at home. It was in march 2003. It attracted 15 men with 4 different nationalities. Most stayed here for 1 or 2 nights. Many of them never met before.

I went to FanFaire in Atlanta last year. It's Sony's big convention for MMO's.

I tried to resurrect the medial S once.

I dressed up as a ninja for a speech.

I got extra credit for creativity for that! :D

I use to skip school and go to the library.
