Well, to be fair, your hands and mouth typically have more bacteria than your ass or other private parts.

That's not the real risk though - it's the risk of other people having open sores or wounds, and transmission to any of those that you happen to have. I know of a guy who caught an STD (herpes I think) at his gym in basically that manner.

I don't see the problem with making it legal in public parks, and your own yard etc. But, I think stores, and such should expand "pants required" onto there windsows next to the shirt & shoes sign...
