Questions you should like to see them ask in a Miss World Pageant

Oh, I see. I thought we were talking about whether it was right or not for women to enter Beauty Pageants.

I think we were talking about whether it was wrong, not whether it was desirable. Something can be undesirable without it being inherently wrong or morally outrageous.

Well, I suppose we differ on that point quite a lot. I'd have said saying something is undesirable is just a mild way of saying it's wrong.

And as far as I know being immoral doesn't mean much more than something is wrong too.

Though wrong in a specific way of course. 2+2=5 is wrong. But not morally wrong.

Still, I expect I have it wrong. I do tend to be a bit simple.

Warm beer is undesirable. But inherently wrong? Hmm. Maybe you're right.

Some beer is desirably warm[er]. Darker beers like stouts are best served around 10C, and cask ales are typically served at room temperature due to the unique methods in which they are brewed.

If you were to drink my sweat I'd probably recommend room temperature too, but warmth being preferred doesn't make it a good thing.

Yeah, according to Aristotelean logic, that simply means that stouts are undesirable.
I tend to agree :)

What a wonderful, delicious world you are missing out on.
I was not completely serious - I've sampled stouts from time to time, but they aren't among my favorites.

Anyway, whenever in Brussels, I like to visit Delirium Cafe, with their excellent selection (well over 2000 brands) of beer. There is a lot to explore even leaving stouts aside. :)

This is certainly true. And personally I wouldn't have it any other way. A real beer is properly a living thing, and to chill it to death is simply cruel. This does, though, mean that drinking a good real ale at room temperature on a hot summer's day is impractical. Luckily I live in a climate when this is a really rare event.

Camikaze, who lives in a hot world, has a point. But a culture-specific one.
