Who the hell has supper at 4pm?
Apparently some of my home care nurses think that's the right time for supper, or at least starting to prepare supper. They come at 4:30-5:00 in the afternoon and ask if I've had supper yet. :ack:

Even if I was on the same schedule as everyone else, that's still at least 2 hours too early. I tell them supper is somewhere between 11pm-midnight, and for me it's lunch/dinner time coming up around 6 or so.

And when they come during noon hour, they always ask what I had for breakfast. They're flummoxed when I say, "Nothing, because I just got up."

Same here. People sometimes call me a vampire or a bat  . I think it's because I started workind late shifts and just got used to it so much that noon is practically morning for me.

When I get up at noon on weekends and thus skip breakfast, I just tell myself I'm practicing intermittent fasting.

Yeah I can tell myself that until I remember that I went right on eating through the wee hours...

It's annoying when people think nightowls (people more alert and active at night and are less alert and prefer to sleep during daytime) are somehow lazy or in need of "fixing."

After umpteen times of explaining to my health care providers that for me it's normal to wake up at noon and no, suppertime for me is not 4 pm (had to explain to one of them today that for me, 4 pm is the equivalent of late morning for them), and it's entirely normal for supper to be around midnight and bedtime 3-4 hours after that... they still don't get it. They think I need "fixing" even after I tell them that my dad was like this, too.

We're not lazy people. Our brains are wired to be active in a different region of the clock.
+1

Going to bed before midnight -at least- is impossible.

An embrassing coincident happened today. I advice one of the marketing to go to physiotherapy for her aches (after fall from motorcycle) problem, because if she endured it the problem will not be cease, it will only worsen. I ask her, does she need a recommendation from me? She told me that she need it. Well, instead of saying Star Physiotherapy, I said something else, that is connected to star in its form, but not a star. After that she search it on her phone, and she told me, is it this? and I see it is a luxury but pervert massage parlor, I told her not that one. I'm so embarrassed I afraid she think this thing is on top of my mind or I'm kind a customer in that place, as the name slip through my tongue in a way.

That's so cringy. I feel my heart like getting squeeze now out of shame.

There is a reschedule interview today, I interview a bright and attractive young lady, 27 years old, work as an engineer in a well known company, have a great salary and advancement opportunity, finish her university in 3,5 years, scores 3.4/4. The question is, why she want to change her profession to become a mere marketing with lesser income? Well her answer is that, her controller military father, decided for her engineering, it's never her passion and decision to begin with. I try to sooth her in a strange way, I told her, majority of people don't like or have passion on the things that we do for living, we just do it because we have to keep our kitchen warm, even Mike Tyson hates boxing, it's just his discipline that made him able to pretend doing the things that he hates as if he loves it. I told her I'm willing to let her pass the first interview, but I advice her not to waste the 8.5 years of experience and study (5 years of working +3.5 years of univeristy) and keep what she already had. Now she's considering it. That's quite a mess I must say. How somebody decide someone life path and future.

Some people do give up high-paying jobs for less income, if they find the new job more fulfilling.

True, currently she keep asking me question via whatsapp, I like her attention to detail, I just hope if she ever pass and become part of our company, she'll not easily give up and turn over.

Another rant, I notice my already bad English becomes somewhat worsen after I re-read my last post. I think I need to stick up in this forum and read a lot of Takh commentary, so I can have a better grammar :p

Irish came home from college today with news that she has a "get acquainted" prom on Tuesday. Being a girl, she needs a new dress.

This means a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride to Tagbilaran tomorrow [Sunday] with everyone aboard. Papa driving; Mama helping with the fitting; me paying; JJ because she needs to return for her licensing test review; and Keejee because because he's only 7 and can't be left alone.
:sarcasm: Thanks for the advance notice.

Thanks Takh I appreciate it. And reading this kind of sentence really level up my English:

At the worst, I'll still not have a job which I don't have. :)

I was like "wait a minute...."
