Random Rants 79: [Impassionating Intensifies]

Rant: I had an accident with my cane and pulled my elbow. It hurts now.

Next time use a paddle. You don't have to swing it nearly as hard and it hurts just the same. Your arm will thank you.

Here's the screen saver on my new Roku movie streamer...and one of these things is not like the others.

(hint: it's not the fact that the poster marquee looks like it says "poo porn flix")

:scan: How does sovereign debt get to have negative yields?
Institutions "buy" negative yielding debt in hopes that prices will rise and what they lost in interest is made up for in a higher sales price later.

In a related area:
Money market yields are around 2.3% and they will go down if the FED cuts rates. Short duration, fixed rate, quality bonds will pay more (3-5%) without locking funds up too long.

A rant: There's a cool song on the radio that I want to look up, but their site's still glitched and I can't figure out enough words to google the lyrics.

I also got a sunburn on my ear.

Fighting with a cold. Had to cancel the drinks with a friend of mine on Saturday, due to increased cold symptoms and middle ear infection. Yesterday was fine, so we moved it to tomorrow. Right now I have swollen lymph nodes, and the other ear is beginning to feel weird.
Just great.

Commodore has also called a seven-year-old girl who insisted on sleeping in her parents' bed ‘a terrorist’, so I'm not sure how seriously I ought to take him.

I'd appreciate it if people would stop quoting this post of mine in order to springboard into a criticism of Commodore, since my post had literally nothing to do with him. Thanks :)

Ear pain can be the worst. You need relatively strong painkillers for that.

My mother wanted to reinstall Windows 10. Instead of asking me to get the key from her computer, she ripped the product key sticker off mine while I was asleep and tried to use it. She risked getting my operating system deactivated and somehow I'm the selfish one.

Crap, I can't wait until I can move out.

EDIT: Got it sorted out. What a mess.

Luckily it wasn't that bad.
I took the day off to cure that **** out, hope tomorrow works again.

Edit: and from my XP, appendix inflammation is even worse.

Rant: I got a good-paying survey, but after spending near 15 minutes on it, I had to return it because it asked me what U.S. state I lived in. The prescreening is supposed to be there to make sure this doesn't happen.

It wasn't so much a criticism of Commodore's positions as much as a statement that there are times when even I do not know whether to take him seriously or not and it's a warning, actually, meant for people to stop piling into a derailment.

lovely , my niece's wedding went without the Stuntwoman , got insulted only once because she might have come or whatever and seems ı won't be able to buy USBs tomorrow . Chainstores operate on bulk buys and ı can get twice capacity of what the electronic store has at the same price , no scratch that , it's actually less than electronic store price , but you know , it would be cool to have one , and you can see the smirk of the chainstore people . Restraint might have seen the end of the Cold War , ı always implore Lord Vader to consider , but then 1960s saw the World going to the moon and ths stuff with slide-rules , pen and paper even , but the 21st Century obviously can't .

edit: also the 15th day or whatever , will ı have ransomware today , once again .

and yes , we are hardly working at instigating World War III , silencing/ oppressing IS NOT the answer you are supposed to be seeking , it will be really hurtful , now that there are people who are ordered to "forgive" but never expected to forget . This of course will ensure deletion and/or attack , but this is life , right ?

Despite being exhausted to the point of passing out earlier in the day, I am unable to sleep.

Based on your past experience, maybe trying to get the absolute cheapest USB sticks with the highest capacity isn't such a good idea? Maybe that's where you've been going wrong.

I've never had one fail, but then I've never bought one at a discount store. I usually buy the Samsung 128 gig ones.

My life in a nutshell right now. Hardly able to stay awake at work through the afternoon. Can't fall asleep until almost 2 at night.

where am going wrong is still failing to convince that talking soft is not the way to go . Despite there was no ransomware today , ı saw kids laughing at me that ı didn't know , despite ı know what they think ı don't know and am not being cheap . It's only that ı might once again be denied to buy , with the smile of the shop worker as ı examine how they have placed all the other wares except the Toshibas ; and your "failure" might be refusing to believe ı would be dead by now or something at more regular affairs . It becomes quite acceptable at times , that being dead .

It's annoying when people think nightowls (people more alert and active at night and are less alert and prefer to sleep during daytime) are somehow lazy or in need of "fixing."

After umpteen times of explaining to my health care providers that for me it's normal to wake up at noon and no, suppertime for me is not 4 pm (had to explain to one of them today that for me, 4 pm is the equivalent of late morning for them), and it's entirely normal for supper to be around midnight and bedtime 3-4 hours after that... they still don't get it. They think I need "fixing" even after I tell them that my dad was like this, too.

We're not lazy people. Our brains are wired to be active in a different region of the clock.
