A portable dehumidifier would be useful in this situation. I don't think they cost all that much.
But then won't I basically be trying to dehumidify the outside too? If I close up the windows it gets super hot anyway so I'd be better off just running the AC.

Windows closed + fans + dehumidifier should work. If it's only 67 outside, it shouldn't get too much higher than that inside unless you have a tiny apartment/house and you're running the oven and your PC.

You can also open the windows at night to let cooler air in while you sleep, then button up and dehumidify during the day.

Rant: I got a survey rejected for completing it "too fast," even though it was just a bunch of yes/no questions. The hell?

EDIT: I contact the researcher, pointing out all the questions that I was able to remember. I hope they will reconsider.

Stupid junk computer took 7 tries to get it to boot.

Check Your disk for bad sectors and make data copy Erika ! I didn't do that and I regret years of collecting (mostly useless but of sentimental value - including saved games :D) data lost ...

That's why i have separate drives for the OS and all the crap i have.
The OS drive is a 120gb Seagate barracuda......( i wanted a separate drive for the OS and i just happened to have this one laying around.)

They might have thought you were a bot.

Mechanical Turk had some weird completion times for some of their hits. They would allow half an hour for something that should take about 30 seconds, and with others, they would allow a shorter time for something that required a lot of finicky and exacting observation or matching.

What OS are you running?
Windows XP. The whole purpose of that tower is for playing older games that don't run properly on newer operating systems.
It's also outlived two of it's replacements.
edit: i just checked, and i installed the OS in May 2011. When i first built the tower.

I had XP comp. for the same purposes until last summer when my disk gave up the ghost and died - the curious thing is that it was also a seagate barracuda ! It is a good disk - it worked really well for me approx. 10 years (give or take 2). Now I'm just using DOS Box (Master of Magic works like a charm) ;) Btw. Does anyone know where I can get my paws on Norton Commander v. 5+ ???

And now it doesn't boot at all. And AVG 2015 broke the safe mode.
edit: oh, now it boots. After trying to boot it with SATA mode set to AHCI which caused XP to bluescreen and then setting it back to IDE.

People cancelled plans on me and I didn't check my messages so I drove halfway across the city for nothing.

Then *more* people cancelled plans for the weekend on me which means I had to cancel my plans with someone else and now he's mad at me.

On top of that I thought I'd gotten over this guy who I want to, uh, get to know better (but who's not interested) and now he's back in my head and I can't get him out of there.

I'm also out of medication and I can't get more till tomorrow, again my fault, I didn't check how much I had left. But it means tomorrow's gonna be fuuuuuuun

I am not looking forward to this weekend heatwave. They're predicting a heat index (temperature + humidity) of 112F/44C. Give me a blizzard any day...
