RANT: I have to choose, for mayoral candidates, between one who wants to install 10,000 new security cameras or one who simply states the judiciary should be abolished as an independent entity (i.e. it should be subordinated to other branches of government) and doesn't much object to Orwellian measures in any case. Brrrrrrr.

Some carrot, some whip.

Not sure exactly what did the trick. I suspect it's something with the drain pump so clearing all the debris from that should have helped but it didn't start to work immediately after that so I don't really know. I never do with that machine.
