How can you go down the stairs while trying not to go down the stairs? Sounds to me as if that were why and how you would fall.

Emergency trumps desire to avoid stairs.

But it's a moot point now as I'm over it.

That speech sounds so much more impressive in text than it sounds being delivered in Churchill's flat monotonous affect. I mean its a great speech, I just don't think his delivery was all that impressive.

Everytime I hear it it reminds me of the "Holy Handgrenade of Antioch" speech from Monty Python- Holy Grail...

I've had it more in the same timeframe.

the number one cause is obstructed breathing. How you lie, how clogged your breathing is, and how hydrated you are (more=better) are the main factors. If you find yourself in that state, there are parts of your body still under control. If you excite those parts enough you force yourself awake. For example, I can move my feet at the ankles. I can also accelerate my breathing.

You can have weird experiences from that state too, like out of body experiences, so it's totally okay to play with your consciousness and accept it, as well.
