Unlike other posters, I haven't yet expressed an intention to visit Bulgaria's beaches.

post-Sodom'n'Gomor salting or after? because I'd recommend only after

Oh, and he's done it again. He's just eaten more of my Oreos.

moderation is important, tho

did you ask first

Your body responds to it anyway.
Hmm. I will present this idea to the city council tomorrow. I think I'll get the funding.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan of sunny nights. I'd gladly welcome some darkness in these summer nights. Now, my bedroom gets pretty dark, but I'd prefer complete black out.

Tell me about it! Last night I began waking up at 3:30 thinking "oh is it morning already, I don't want to wake up", and that continued until the actual morning.

When me and wife came back from our eurotrip, she had to put sunglasses on at 22:30 to drive the car. It was pretty odd after the quick darks of Middle Europe.

Sorry to hear that, insomnia can be very destructive. What kind of pills have you been taking? Amitriptyline really helped for my insomnia for a long while but I'm back off them now due to some possible side effects.

The closest thing I have to a productive 2am-5am activity is audiobooks. But often enough I'm way too tired for that. Just not tired enough to fall sleep..

I have tried the one you named, then ones with melatonin, zopiclonum, probably some others.

After discovering the tumor and realising that insomnia is due to that and seeing that I don't fall asleep even after intaking 2 pills of very strong sedatives, when for a normal person only 0,5 pill is needed to make him lose consciousness in under 15 minutes, doctor said that the side effects of taking those super strong pills aren't worth risking and as long as I can somehow work, it' s better to live without.

These much softer drugs I were taking were a bit of a miracle, because they didn't work initially, but after 5 months when I tried them again, they worked for 2 weeks.

Audiobooks or podcasts are a good idea, I will try to find something on human rights, feminism, quantum physics or neuroscience.

Mmhm, can be a pain yeah. Though Helsinki should IMO be bearable. Longitude wise it's about the same as Oslo, no?

Yeah, about. The Sun still sets here. :D

The apartment is just poorly oriented so that in summer you have to choose whether you suffer from the evening or morning sun.

I'm at that point in summer where I've begun to feel bored and restless. I really need to find something to do with myself.

Oh, and Iron Pen 7 voting is going on. You might want to vote on one of the stories in the thread I've just linked to in my signature.

I am not God, Tolni.

I'm hoping that God will do the salting Himself. Every summer, there's enough examples and reasons for a Sodom and Gomor treatment. Plus that, it'll rejuvenate tourism even more! Imagine tourists all over the world seeing our beautiful salt statues!

Well the copa america final penalty shoot-out already proved that.
I knew you were evil enough to steal candy from a child.
OK let's not pretend that stealing candy from children isn't the perfect crime.

You can then salt your meat extensively.
Well the copa america final penalty shoot-out already proved that.
God is impartial.

Everything's so sticky with them around, there's no way you won't leave evidence.

In other news I kinda need to take a boating license this summer. But I also can't be bothered. I mean, screw boats right? But I also really should though. It will have to wait till my eyesight gets better, at any rate.

My bedroom faces north, so during high summer, my bedroom floods with light about 5-5.30 am, curtains be damned! If I wake up any time past that, I'm doomed.

I was convinced that Diego Maradona had been born in Argentina.

@jackelgull: the important thing was that Argentina not win it, and that Argentina not beat Brazil anywhere along the line.

It works best if it's something you're not too interested in.

Flute/harp music works for me. So does Arthur C. Clarke reading his own stories. He wrote good stories, but his reading voice was a monotone. Only once did I stay awake until the end of the story.
