RE: Hash browns. Depends. Soggy hash browns are crimes against humanity. But well-cooked cripsy hash browns can make my entire day.

Also hash browns should never cost more than 1.50 AUD each at the absolute maximum. Charging even a cent more should qualify you for a compulsory holiday to The Hague. Maccas I'm looking at you.

They should have offered it anyway; just because the normal way is to have a few dozen people take it together is no reason why they couldn't do it one-on-one with the appropriate distancing measures. It would take longer, but it would be done.

I actually called and got a flat no.

I suppose with hundreds of thousands of people stranded in Australia on temporary visas with basically no help, we're not priority. But it's not like we were treated particularly well before the outbreak either.

Decided to go read my old posts.

God, how I wish I could delete this account.

Naw, own it. I briefly went through a "must delete all my cringey stuff and strictly monitor my online activities" phase in case I try to run for office or something. But it's too hard.

It was part of the road to make me who I am and who I will become. Can't run away from it and it's too much work to hide it. I just leave it in the past and if anyone comes and bothers me about it, turn the table around on them and ask why they're obsessing over something my 15-year-old self said on a gaming forum.

Attempt at home made hash browns in the air fryer. They were ok, did one in the pan that was better.

Having a meeting today. There is this third party involved the one who bring us "projects" and taking commission yearly from our company. So I suggest that we shouldn't continue one of the project because the value is awfully higher than it should be, I provide them with all the data and comparison and everyone is agree with me, and yes it is this third party is the one who bring the bread.

Then one of them, the most loud one turn on me and saying something like "oh so after all these years, you just realize it now? really???! (shaking his head)" I need a split second to react at that time, so I react with logical explanation that this things was never part of my job description until recently, when it's already part of my job I analyzed it and here are my conclusion about it (it making me ending up to be defensive).

But after that I really grow to be super annoy at the guys, the heck, he should the one who provide us with the argument why we should take those project, why he hold me responsible and somewhat attack me during the meeting, while we should the one who question him not the other way around. I really regret my weak reaction, I think I should react with cynicism that implying it's actually part of his responsibility to provide good analysis that profit our company.

So I just wait for a moment to tackle and looking an opening that he made so I can enter, he mentioned a wrong number at a meeting and I remind him in a very noticeable irritation and a bit shouting, but he just let it slide fix his mistake and continue with the explanation. When they finally done with it, they went off, before we start our internal meeting I just go out for a cigarette and I met him in the parking lot, he told me he heard that I'm injured and I just say yea that's why I stop exercising for a while, he told me to take-care of myself if I need anything he got a right man to fix me, he laugh a bit, smiling at me then go.

I must say he is so cunning and able to control his aggression very well, I see him couple of time throwing tantrum at the forum and just flip again as if nothing happened, mostly he is in our side, but because this coronavirus mess we meet each other as an opponent this time. He out-play me somehow because of my straight-forwardness, and I really hate this kind of person. I should really anticipate myself better before I met him for the second time, I will not take another humiliation. But I'm not really good at loud and screamy confrontation, unless I escalate the things into a mess, I'm never a good talker but now in the adult world that is never an option. Perhaps I should read a book about rhetoric, lol, I should ready myself for this kind of confrontation.

I had five separate media players open. Without thinking, I hit the 'play' key on my keyboard. My ears are angry at me now.

I had my reasons

Rant: It's a tiny bit annoying when Steam goes down just as you're about to install a game.

They shut down my local park because people wouldn't practice social distancing at all. I know @Timsup2nothin says he sees young people wearing masks while out and about but I haven't seen it here. :( They haven't shut down my dog park (adjacent to the main park) yet but they should, again because people won't social distance in it. They cluster instead of giving each other space, WTH. I also saw a fight break out while riding past because one aggro bro got super pissed about ordinary dog stuff, also WTH. More death and sadness on the news but today they were highlighting all the moral boosting stuff other countries are doing that we don't seem to be doing here. We're too busy blaming China and denying there's a problem to bother with morale boosting I guess.

I called into a virtual town hall with my congresswomen but it was 99% about the programs set up to help businesses which makes sense given the demographic but it was completely useless to me and kind of a waste of time.

There was one rave worthy thing: She said the number #1 thing people can do to contribute to the fight right now is to stay home. She specifically said this is the time to dig deep into the pantry and pull out that can of random stuff you don't really like and just eat it if it means not going out for groceries.
:salute:
Can do

Rant: I've been washing my hands so much that they're starting to crack and pain. I tried putting lotion on it but it just made them greasy without actually helping.

Funny thing...it was on the news last night and I know people who were there, so it happened, but me and Google can't seem to find any mention of it on the internetz...guess there's only room for bad news. Last night a bunch of cops, fire trucks, and ordinary folks in their cars gathered in the parking lot at Palmdale Regional, and hit lights, sirens, high beams, and horns in a tribute to the staff. Many of which came out for a breath of cool night air and a break from their grind to take in the appreciation. If it's not happening where you are, make it so.

As to the masked up folk...I was at the store today and saw a guy in full Tyvek with an army surplus gas mask on.

Yeah a bit over the top.

I had just told this joke (that I got from here actually) that went "had a bit of a scare earlier today..." I was telling it to the guy in front of me in line, but with distancing he's like a cartlength and a half away so I'm much more on blast than usual and the girl in front of him, who was at the checker, plus the cashier and the guy bagging all stopped to listen. I just plowed on "this guy came in all masked up with gloves and everything...scared the hell out of everyone.... ... ... it was okay though, he was just a bank robber." So it gets a decent laugh and we get back to the business at hand, and like two minutes later the bagger guy says "look, there he is," and points at the Tyvek guy coming in the door. The girl was gone, but the dude in front of me, the cashier, and I just fell out.

Aveeno lotion is what I use. It's got oatmeal in it and is very good for dry skin.
