FFS I drank coffee for the first time in a year and a half in order not to sleep through the afternoon so as to be able to sleep at night and I was like Bart and Milhouse on sugar and didn't fall asleep until nearly 6 am.

We haven't had a major rainstorm since last September.

April is the historical beginning of our monsoon season, but we've had only one minor storm all month.

The firetruck must have come by. Water gurgling in one's water pipes is a glorious sound. Flushed all the toilets took a shower & shaved. Upstairs, loads of laundry were being done.

RANT: I'm burnt out on cereal, can't eat it anymore it tastes nasty. This happens if I have the same thing near every day for weeks on end, the tastiness disappears.

Amazon just delivered the toilet paper that was supposed to arrive 6 weeks ago. They delivered it to the wrong house. Luckily the email confirmation they sent included a picture of it on the steps of a front porch that definite not ours but did look kind of familiar. I was right when I guessed it was our next door neighbor's. I was still able to retrieve it. It has been raining pretty hard here for about the past 10 hours, and their porch does not have any sort of roof to protect it from the weather. (Normally our deliveries are left under out carport, where they stay dry.) The cardboard box in which it was delivered completely disintegrated when I tried to pick it up. It does not seem like much if any water got through the plastic surrounding the toilet paper rolls themselves though.
