Publishers should finally realize their place, and serve as source of income and support for me :yup:
So publishers should support you, regardless of whether the public chooses to buy your books?

That's not how it works. Even Isaac Asimov, who eventually reached the point where he could publish his shopping list and get paid for it, still had to actually write something or at least compile an anthology of previous works that would actually sell. He became an expert on making his past stories and articles generate more income.

Yes :)

Well, tbh the public mostly buys what is available/marketed. Anyway, i am sure you got that i was trying to be humorous ;)
Yes, I got that.

It doesn't invalidate my point, though. Even the very famous, sure-thing authors still have to be marketable and turn a profit for the publishers.

Maybe. Though in smaller book markets (like glorious Greece) what matters a lot is who you know. Which sucks :)
Also luck. Of which i have next to none.

I suppose my work still will become famous. Just not while any posters here will be alive.

Well, it would help if it was in English. Or if more of us could read Greek.

I saw the neurologist again. Basically just staying the course for my medication for the time being.

Today when coming home from getting groceries I made the mistake of standing up too fast after setting down a jug of milk. I ended up having a drop of blood pressure (something both the neurologist and family doctor warned me about, at that) and falling down the stairs. That was not fun.

I get headrush if I stand up too fast. It's not pleasant. :(

Is that where everything gets dark and fuzzy and you forget what you were doing for a few seconds?

syncope means temporarily loss of consciousness. This can present in multiple ways, low blood pressure is a common one and if that happens slowly enough then it will be preceded by something that could be described like that. It can happen in many other ways as well.

I never had the 'forgetting' part. But a few times, many, many years ago (last time it was 20 years ago, i think) i would get that. But it wasn't anything serious; just black-out (no vision) for roughly 2 seconds. Some dizziness, but i could just keep standing still and wait it out.
I do know of people who just go off, though, and thus collapse, and afterwards don't recall anything at all. That is really scary... :)

I get that too now and again when standing too fast. Nothing too dramatic though, blurred/dark vision and dizziness for a few seconds.

Not sure if I read this here... apparently the blood pressure also drops a bit when you pee. Therefore it seems that quite some men drop into the canals in Amsterdam, because they got unconscious while taking a piss.

It can also happen when voiding your bowels. There's a big nerve that runs right by that area - the vagus nerve, I believe. I think it's also why so many people have heart attacks on the toilet.
