I freed a robin that was tangled up in string hanging from a tree, but it's leg was broken so i doubt it will last long.......:(

Take it to a vet.

Making a somali chicken stew for dinner. Grocery store didn't have boneless chicken thighs, so I picked up some bone-in on sale thinking how hard could it be to de-bone, especially as I had to cut it up ahead of time?
Answer, very hard.
While I was grumpy about having to throw out probably half the chicken because I couldn't get it off the bone, I misread the directions and put in 1 2/3 cup of coconut milk (which was way thicker than the last brand I got) instead of 1 cup. So my stew has extra liquid even though it has less meat than I intended.

Drat.

Git gud.

My suggested method is simply to wait for a cohabitant of your domicile to moronically purchase so much bloody chicken that you can while away the lockdown just learning how to debone the danged things.
(rant: this week we have new restrictions and we've been officially under varying levels of lockdown for a year and a week now)

My answer to the first type of problem is to separate the meat and bones after cooking. If the meal will not allow for that, I make a different meal. My answer to the second is to reduce it, is always makes the meal nicer than without the reduction step.
It flew away, poor birdie....
Had you taken it to the vet they would almost certainly have put it down.

My power has gone off twice today.

My last 20km hike left me with nasty friction burn across left hand (I'm lefty) and something screwed up in my left foot.

Please, just don't give me the "all right" jokes.

CVS pharmacy is pissing me off. My insurance company insists I use them. But they are constantly calling me about renewing prescriptions which are weeks short of needing to be renewed. Even up to 2 months prior. Can they not count the days and the number of pills they gave me?

Why your hand?

Funny story, really. My dog sometimes gets overexcited on these walks and starts running and jumping around me. This time he decided to run at full speed between my legs. I was using one of those self-reeling leashes, and had to grab the leash itself to prevent it from cutting into much more sensitive parts of my anatomy. Guess what happens when you try to grab thin strip of synthetic fabric that's unreeling with full force of 30kg half-malinois mutt behind it.

It would have been more fun if you were actually (also) using your hands to run :D

Is it possible that the dog has watched The Empire Strikes Back too many times?

Teething firing up (again)?
