I got an A- in my Lasers course :(

My dad got laid off. :(

I'm watching Robin Williams do stand up, and it's embarrassing. On the one hand, he cursing a lot more than I thought, but he's also really prissy and flamboyant at times. It's weirding me out.

He's also doing jokes about living in California, as if people in D.C. (where the show took place) have no idea what a deer or coyote is... or that people from D.C. have no idea what it's like to live in Cali... maybe I'm not describing it right, but it's like he's bragging about living in CA, by talking about how annoying the raccoons are, if that makes sense...

Weapons of Self Destruction I assume? There we good moment to it but he seems to have lost his touch.

You should heckle him. He's a terrible actor, he''s not funny at all, and I hate him on a deep personal level.

Is this about uni course selection? I flipped a coin.

Yep. Sounds like a good idea, tbh.

I probably won't get into Combined Law, at least on Main Round Offers, so I have choices. Too many choices. I can get a transfer into Combined Law by doing a single degree and getting over 70% average in the first year. But I need to choose the single degree. International Studies? Economics? Commerce? Or should I forget about Law and go for a combination of those three? Or maybe Commerce/Arts or Economics/Arts? Or maybe I should try for a different uni? Gah! [pissed]

Relax, what do you think will be the most beneficial to your career?

What will make you stand out above the rest?

I dunno. Pretty much everything I want to do is in low demand. I'm leaning towards International Studies, sheerly because it interests me. But a wealth of possibilities is hard to choose from, even if there was one that seemed to be obviously better.

Okay. One of my cousins emails with this CEO of some big IT-database-something company and he gave him a lot of pointers and stuff. Maybe you could consider looking for a mentor :p

Also, are some of those courses prerequisites for other courses?

Otherwise, if it doesn't matter then take the one that interests you most. Or the one that makes you look best on OT :p

It's not like it's an awful decision to face. I can get into virtually anything I like. It's just that I'm stuck as to what to do. All seem equally good. If I do International Studies, Commerce or Economics I can transfer to Law if I want (assuming I get over 70% average in first year). It's the importance of the decision more than it's actual difficulty that is problematic. Meh. I'll figure it out. And I'll probably be happy with whatever I choose.

Your complaining why? I dunno if its worth doing economics for only the first year and I'd lean towards the same thing for international studies and I guess it depends on what commerce offers. Synergies in unit selection and cross crediting are the order of the day and whatever is easiest to max out on marks.

I'm complaining because I'm indecisive. :p

And I'll be doing the original course if I transfer to Law, because it's Combined Law.

Don't do my mistake and choose something to bridge from that was relatively difficult, rather interesting and something you end up finishing... unintentionally. :p
