I agree with you about dream interpretations. I have dreams about all kinds of random things and I reckon they don't mean anything. It was just the coincidence of that story being the first thing I heard when I turned on the radio (on a morning when the news is dominated by the helicopter crash in London) that was weird.
Edit: yes very tragic. But also lucky in a way, that many more people weren't killed, considering when and where it happened.
What? What helicopter crash? I've missed this. Damn! And I've been trying not to listen to the radio so much. Now I'll have to again.
edit: Oh it just crashed into a crane. This is just pilot error. Two people dead. So not a big tragic terrorist attack or anything. Just a tragedy for the people affected.
Hit my big toe against the stairs last night. Nail ripped almost clean off. Doctor told me to leave it (I was going to cut it off entirely) to protect the now sensitive bits below it.
Hurt like a %$%$%$#, but strangely it's not that bad now. When I just hit it I sat looking at the nail pointing upwards and thought: this is going to hurt bad, this is going to hurt bad. And it did, but not as much as I feared.
I do have pictures, but not sure if they're suitable for this forum.
I'm not trying to mock the poor, beaten toe but it kind of looks like Karl Rove.
Besides taking ages to grow back again those freakin' reborn nails have a bad habit of taking liberties when choosing the direction of growth - they fairly easily try to grow into themselves. Perhaps out of shyness or lack of exploration attitude.
My women threw up every couple of hours last night. In a strange coincidence, my dog ate some pistachio shells that she quietly threw up as well. Then she tried re-eating the shells, thereby scattering half-digested shells around the apartment.

When I was 11 I slammed my left pointer finger in a door and knocked the nail clean off, it came off as one whole unbroken piece we later found
Hurt like a mother, bled everywhere, and took months to grow back. I had to keep it bandaged and moistened the whole time it was awful. Looks like yours isn't as bad, you're lucky you still have some nail to protect it.
I had an awful dream last night where my 17 y/o brother was roller skating on a walking trail and somehow got run down by a motorcycle and killed. I then spent the rest of the dream trying to find a place to cry, but every time I started I would get interrupted and it was horrible. Everything felt very real too, when I did finally wake up I had to sit very still for several minutes while I worked out what was real and what wasn't.
A few nights ago I had an odd dream where I went to Australia to seek out several Australian CFC posters and put a face to their name and see what they were really like.
Rant: Not only do you live in my future, you now live in my dreams you damned Auzzies!
About 10 years ago I had an injury like Ziggy's but on the little toe. By the time I sobered up it didn't hurt so much, so I just left it alone. I didn't know that a completely dead nail could regrow, so when the black, dead nail fell off a few months later I was amazed to find a new one underneath.
I think I worked out where my horse death dream came from. It was TW and watching the AI suicide its horses into massed spears, resulting in dead horses strewn everywhere. But I haven't played any TW for ages. And it doesn't make the coincidence of that dream followed by the horsemeat story on the radio any less weird or creepy.
I too, had a bit of a dream this morning. Apparently, the apes from the planet of the apes films either went back into time or evolved by themselves way ahead of us and waged a genocidal campaign against us about 4 million years in the past. Of course, I had to become a reluctant hero and had to try to outdo them, including going back further in time - about 31 million years - and moniter things very closely, and use artifacts from ancient civs - and modern times as well - when necessary to protect us puny hyoomanz. Then when the 4 Mya mark arrived, it turned into an Indiana Jones type of dream.
I had a dream once in which the tires of a motorbike turned into a giant snake that threw me to the ground and then turned into a classmate of mine with a pointy stick on my throat. We exchanged a couple of lines, and if I remember correctly they were about it not being a video game with extra lives and all, but real life, and that I would die for real. I calmly said "yes I know" and he killed me.
