If she was a Collingwood jumper wearing bogan she'd have copped the same rant with a couple of words changed and/or added. The rant wasn't because she was Asian, it was because she was effectively yelling in my ear and wouldn't shut the hell up. She drowned out the bloody school kids, she was that bad.
 
Note to self.

After having been ill and not eaten for three days, BBQ chicken smothered in spicy perri perri sauce is not the best way to ease back into the whole food thing. Side orders of broccoli and carrots, whilst healthy, do not change the veracity of this.
 
Our friends are separating, so I hung out at their apartment minding their daughter while my wife went out with our friend. We were out very late, but that's OK - it's the least you can do for a friend in need.

I insisted that we not drive, but take the train / taxi, since parking would be so difficult when we came home. I wish we had driven, though:

Someone hit our car over night, didn't leave a note or anything :mad:

If we had driven, that might not have happened. Luckily the tailgate still functions, but we're almost certainly going to have to have the cracked lights repaired before the safety inspection - which is due in a month - and we're very tight on money right now :cry:

Oh well, at least the car is still driveable, which is good, since our daughter has a doctor appointment really far uptown later today .

@ Peter Grimes: Friends separating is deserving of its own post. It is reallly tough on everyone , no more so than on the children.

As for the car. You also have sympathies. Strange city we live in.

I've decided to give Dragon Age another go and am now installing the Ultimate Edition. Stupid game is installing English and German language files without giving me an option. That's several gigs of useless data, and my trusty 300 GB hard drive is getting quite full. I had to uninstall Shogun 2 to avoid performance issues.
 
I keep on accidentally being a complete jerk to this one guy lol.

to demonstrate what I mean, I'll use an unrelated example: e.g. say a couple of, idk, 2 years broke up 1 month ago, and I keep going up to this guy and ask "hey do you and [previous girlfriend X] want to join me and Y for Z activity?"

I don't talk to him all that often, but when I do I constantly keep accidentally asking questions that actually are definitely rude rofl.

edit: to concrete how this isn't possible to be a real example, I'll draw the analogy to agrajag and arthur dent. /NERD

I hate my scumbag brain sometimes. Every time I try to fly in my dreams, I've been consistently unable to gain meaningful altitude, including rarely, if ever, being able to even get above the treetops.

Yet, sometimes, I can reach the top of Earth's atmosphere, and still feel like I can't gain altitude.

Bastard SOB scumbag brain. :mad:
