Random Rants XLVIII: Worst. Thread Title. Ever!

I totally hope they accept cash (or EC card), else we'll have a real problem.

I booked a couple with a debit card a few weeks ago. I think hostelworld also lets you PayPal?

I also don't have a debit card from one of the big credit card companies, so that also didn't work.
I've booked now our stay in Madrid via agoda.com, because they allow me in the Dutch version to use that Dutch online payment system iDeal, so I've directly booked the hostels.
Sadly the hostels in the other cities don't allow direct payment, and only want to have the credit card as security.
I've now also gone via hostelworld, because they allow downpayment via paypal. Good that not the whole thing goes via Paypal, because I only had 50€ on it, and it's bound to my German bank account, which I cannot access from here, so I can't transfer any money.
So now I've booked a really damn cheap hotel in Cordoba (that somehow scares me), and the 2 girls will have to sleep later in a double bed, but oh well...the only options.

Yo, tell me if you're coming to Barcelona one of these days or something, yo.

Nope, sorry. We'll visit Madrid for 1.5 days, will go with a friend from Madrid for 2 days in Toledo (will sleep in Madrid), then 1 day Cordoba, at some point at the next day to Granada, the day afterwards is reserved for the Alhambra (damn, have to book these tickets), and then back to Madrid/the Netherlands.
And my friend from Madrid will explode if I mention Barcelona . He's been outraged that it's apparently the tourist destination #1 in Spain, and he totally doesn't like it .


Uah, boah, I've nearly spent 6 hours today for these damn hostel bookings .

So, I decided that it would be a good idea to listen to a dramatic reading My Immortal last night.

I made it up to the midpoint of Chapter 25 before I completely lost my sanity and fell into bouts of mad laughter. I believe "Professor Sinatra" was the trigger.

I've demanded evertying to be free for longer than the interenet has been open to the public.

To pull made up terms out of my ass, I consider myself a freedomist extremist: anything and everything *should* be absolutely free, and everyone is entitled to all the things they want and the privacy they desire.

I AM SICK AND ******* TIRED OF THIS. I put up with so much **** almost every single ******* day of my life. Whether it's my dad and his completely ******** rules, dealing with various *******(not many on CFC, although there are a couple), being ignored/excluded from various ****** things IRL and on the internet for whatever ******* reasons prevent me, or being forced to do outdoor work in 80°F/75% humidity...I honestly can't wait until I get out of this ******* hellhole that I call my dad's house, and see my mom again for the one solid month and one of the 3-4 times out of the WHOLE ****** YEAR. It's ******* ********. I can't ******* stand it.

Seems tough for you, Sam. It is frustrating.

My parents divorced when I was 8, but after 3 years with Mom, her MS got worse and I spent 9 years with Dad, who soured me to my mom and her family and I was 19 when I saw my Mom again.

I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you I regret any angry feelings for my Mom, who, BTW, is the sweetest person in the world and when I taught myself to dislike her I did myself the worst disservice. Even moreso when I resented my dad for leading us to resent she and her side of the family -- a heritage I am now quite proud of -- I felt even worse.
