I feel old. Srsly. I was invited to party this night and those couples are to marry or are already with kids. I'm going to be 25 soon and all I have had is relationships of some months. I suck at relationships. Or it's just that I'm Japanese in Latvia and lesbian and I don't want to rush anything, but they do.

I'm (for once) really not trying to be facetious, but its definitely because you're a Japanese lesbian living in Latvia.

But my younger sister just horribly demolished me. It was just embarrassing how badly she beat me, I mean it wasn't even remotely close. No contest. It was like I was Varro and she was Hannibal at Cannae. No it was worse than that, it was like I was Mohammad Shah and she was Genghis Khan. God it was just horrible. All those pieces piled up in stacks like the tower of skulls that Timur piled outside of Isfahan.

I'm never playing her again.

Chess is unique. It's closer to a language than a strategy game. I remember closely losing to a chess state champion, smashing her brother like we were in Teutoberg Forest, then drawing with someone who regularly goes to a chess club (but with more points - I had a bishop and king, my opponent had a pawn and king), even though before those games, I hadn't played for AGES.

I did my first shift at work since back tonight, and I have a new boss; one I hadn't worked for before. So they asked me how much I got paid by my old boss. So I said, "$10.50 an hour." So they paid me and I went home, only to remember that I actually used to get paid $11.50 an hour.

This is going to be reasonably awkward to rectify.
