You can make your pizza however you like ... you can do thick crust, thin crust, stuffed crust, round or rectangular, you can use tomato sauce or alfredo sauce or something else, you can use any assortment of cheeses or none at all. You can put your toppings under your cheese or on top, you can top with meat, vegetables, a mix, and even fruit. I sometimes make thin crust pizza, but I'm especially fond of pan crust (which comes out like almost two inches thick!) with mozzarella cheese and spinach.

@Synsensa I learned in about three days, but I needed about a year to accept it. For Christmas 2003 I received a large chocolate from someone, and I ate that rather quickly. I was sick for days, I couldn't sleep lying down it was so awful, and ever since then I haven't been able to handle sweets. I have to turn down cheesecake and ice cream and everything, I'd had chocolate a few times since then and I got very sick. I can eat only a very tiny amount, like one little piece of fudge or one spoon of ice cream, so sometimes I'll try things just for a taste, but honestly I've sort of lost my appetite for those things. I've never really had much of a sweet tooth though, even as a child I didn't really care for candies.

Rave: Went ice-skating with the family today, for only the second time in the last 25 years (or so), and didn't fall over at all, not once (had a few near squeaks, but held it together!). Didn't knock anyone else over either (to my knowledge), despite the rink being full of Short Persons in Snowsuits and Mittens (some of whom skated better than me). Will probably feel it tomorrow, though...

My mom's second Carotid Endarterectomy on Wednesday went well. It took less than half as long as the first one, and she seemed more alert 4 hours later than she did 24 after the first one. They considered letting her go home the next day, but decided to keep her a second night as her blood pressure on the first night went high. Last night her numbers all looked great, so she is back home with us now.

I have to ask: Have you ever been tested for the bacteria that causes ulcers? It's a really unpleasant test and the aftermath is also disagreeable. The strong course of antibiotics is grueling (you'll be advised to eat/drink a lot of yogurt). But after that you just need a bit of adjustment in diet, and you should be okay.

I can have some kinds of chocolate now, and it's nice to be able to indulge in a chocolate bar or chocolate milk.

Oh, and some might remember me talking about the recipe for peanut butter cups I developed... that was done during the time when I couldn't have either peanut butter or chocolate. I had to limit the taste tests to a minuscule drop on the tip of my tongue. But it was enough to figure out how to do it.

Helicobacter pylori is the name btw.
Quick check says that symptoms are in general slightly different, but the symptoms might warrant a check (also a general one, because this sounds considerably abnormal).

While on it: :gripe: been eating a bit fatty the last few days, and have now had acid reflux for some .
EDIT: Ah, damn, raves thread...errr... weekend :D.

There are women in this conversation. :nono:
Aren't women our fellows?

If she's an elder, I suppose that makes me venerable (I'm 20 years older than Mary is).
‘The Venerable Valka’ as the sage that must be consulted as part of a quest does sound nice.

And if people can't have citrus?

Btw, the only reference I have for dulce de leche is because it's mentioned in the script of the musical "Guys and Dolls" (I worked on a production of that back in the spring of 1980).
If people can't have citrus then there's always dulce de leche. At least when you're here and you can get it at almost every block.

It might just be the best food in the world.
Pizza is beautiful in all shapes and sizes.
The gender of the word is (Matilda would approve if she were still around) female in its original Italian.

Clearly some people have never had the glorious melted-plastic-on-a-cracker experience that is the St. Louis pizza:

My daughter and her husband love that style. They live in St. Louis. I'd hardly call it pizza, but don't tell them that.

Not the same thing. "Senator" is a position. "Fellas" has never, in my experience, referred to any sort of female.

But we're changing that right now :)

You had a similar hesitance to accept 'dude' as gender-neutral, so I made a search on /r/twoxchromosomes and I'd say most women do accept it, along with 'guys' as potentially neutral.
