It sounds stupid though. What about the students whose families can't afford to pay 80-90$ for an AP course? Smart, talented and hard-working students who would greatly benefit from it? Students who one could argue would contribute more to society than their slightly worse but richer counter-parts? What happened to meritocracy?

So 3-4 courses constantly over 4 years? That's $1080-$1440 for tests?
What happens if you don't take the test? Will you be forced to redo the course in college?
