That was not a very sportsman like thing to say. It is a "gentleman's" sport and is sometimes more exciting to watch than golf.![]()
It's gentlemanly in what way? Little girls in big cars throwing their helmet at one another? The one guy who fights like a man (Tony Stewart) gets ostracized for doing it while the others just slap at each other and bicker behind each other's backs. It sure is a good sport for the ladies.
It's sometimes more exciting to watch in golf in the sense that every 3 years you see a cool crash that lasts 5 seconds that was mildly more entertaining than the TPC San Antonio or whatever 5th rate tournament that occurred at the same time. But Daytona does not live up to the Masters, Talledgega will never beat the British, and Indianapolis will sure as hell not beat the US Open.
