"Well, all you need for gold is to change the periodical number of the element, also known as Z, by removing or adding a pr-"

*punch*
Was that… the punchline? *glasses pull*

I would have gone with the onions and Finland idea.

Given how little attention the committee is paying me at the moment, I might be able to get away with adding a section on that.

Thy svbjeckte here sovndeth like yonder gibberishe thate natvral philosophers and alchemickal mystickes speaketh of.

:D

It's funny because I once attended a congress on nanotechnology and I remember specifically a talk about nano-layers which aligned themselves around water or something like that. Yeah, I almost fell asleep.

Why on earth would you willingly subject yourself to SCIENCE!?

This technology has a lot of potential for desalinate water no?

It's the primary motivation and application for my project. Thermal desalination is getting really expensive due to energy prices, but membranes have some particular drawbacks that need to be addressed before they will be economically competitive at the large scale (say, over 100,000 m3/day production rate).

Keep up the good work then. The world is quite a thirsty lot.

Rave: Been in a better mood lately. Relationship going well, nice weather to enjoy in the parks, and a lot of interesting courses to be had. I just had my first meeting of my course on Old English, and I loved it! We talked about etymology and language families, and I was at home.

The long provincial nightmare is over. The weather is warm and the sun is out in force.

I'm calling it now (although maybe it already had its boom): greek or strained yogurt is going to be the next big "health" phase in the US

the west coast is all into "Kale" everything right now or nationwide there is silly "gluten-free".

5 years from now bread is going to make a comeback and everybody is going to make baking with like greek yogurt oat whole wheat pancakes and stuff

and I'll be ahead of the curve in deliciousness

my greek yogurt banana & oat bread (with chocolate chips) is baking right now, i'm very optimistic. will report back in 1 hour.

I also now understand the hype all 18-24 something year old females experience for like 2-8 weeks of following random baking things on pinterest or something and putting up photos online and then never mention it again.

prep time wasn't even bad, like 25 minutes for the 15 minute listed prep

edit- reporting in, maybe a little undercooked (like the edges are nice and brown but the middle seems a little more gooey than I'd like). still good.

Greek yogurt is pretty good in my opinion. When my doctors have overall also recommended yogurt, they've also said that Greek yogurt is even better because it tends to have more protein.

yup.

but I mean, it's ready to take blaze of some social media storm and become THE hot topic of the US

I'm calling it here. Swarms of TV talk shows baking "greek yogurt vanilla oat whole grain cookies" and "greek yogurt honey flaxseed muffins!" and the Valley girls (nonUsians: referring to California valley) are going to go on whatever social media site exists and post their photos of a whole bunch of baking and say "#hittingthegym" with a picture of eating greek yogurt after a "run"

and I'm going to do it too

Excuse me, it's time to sue a whole bunch of Greeks now! Yoghurt is a patented Bulgarian invention!

A brief history of my natural yoghourt consumption:

Danone (French or Spanish if you like. I especially like their set yoghourt.)
Various English yoghourts. (pretty bland, though I'm very fond of a goats' milk yoghourt I know, but it's expensive)
Greek yoghourt (it's usually got cream mixed in with it and I really don't know why. It's fine.)
Turkish yoghourt (now you're talking yoghourt!).
....

Can't wait to lay my hands on some fine Bulgarian yoghourt.

Strangely, if I add some pieces of fresh fruit to my yoghourt, I tend not to consume quite as much of it in one go.

I've found a ton of songs I just love lately, and that's rare. True, most of them have quite sad lyrics, and true, my iTunes for my laptop no longer lets me access the store without crashing, thus forcing me to go to an Internet cafe with my phone to get them, but it's nice to finally have some new music after months of no changes.

Could try the Amazon mp3 store, prices are usually level with Apple, at least in the UK. Mebbe not so convenient, but probably more so than the system you've got now.

They can sue you for their alphabet then…

¿Por qué no los dos?

What kind of music? I could probably help add to that :)
